<p>The SEC has filed 13 civil charges against Zhao, Binance Holdings, and two other Binance-related entities. Binance and one of its entities, BAM Trading Services, operated the Binance.US platform created for US customers after Binance exited the US market in 2019. The SEC alleges that Zhao and Binance controlled the operations of Binance.US behind the scenes.</p>
