Last year, we were honored to receive a €‎50K grant from the Polish startup program. As part of our commitment to showcasing our solutions, we exhibited at Cold Chain Poland, held on April 18–20, 2023 at EXPO XXI Warsaw, alongside our official distributor partner for the Polish market, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/mcxgroup/about" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">MCX Group</a>.<img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/bbc8684aced74c9da51ba41da4617fdf.jpg" /><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/dd05c7f8d2cb466783813c30192248d8.jpg" /><a href="https://coldchain.pl/home/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Cold Chain Poland</a> is a pioneering business platform in Poland that brings together professionals in cold chain and logistics in the supply chain. This year’s edition was held in partnership with the <a href="https://www.worldfood.pl/en/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">WorldFood Poland</a>, which is Poland’s largest food &amp; beverage trade event.During the event, we showcased our innovative use cases, including <a href="https://blog.obortech.io/ways-to-reduce-food-waste-and-loss-c8bccba7d248" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">apples from Germany</a> and our latest use case, <a href="https://blog.obortech.io/beefing-up-the-food-supply-chain-transparency-e119696b9b3c" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">“Product Traceability: The Mongolian Beef”</a> story. We successfully traced the journey of beef all the way from the Mongolian steppe to the final products, which were introduced to Poland. The response from the event clearly demonstrated the interest of people towards products that come with food traceability.<img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/2b17422a19e24e90abedac4bbd322df2.jpg" /><img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/97118af00ccd4e1d904fdb4653e24c08.jpg" />There is a significant market potential for us in the EU, particularly with the growing demand for food traceability following the Mad Cow crisis (BSE disease), as well as the increasing focus on supply chain accountability and visibility.In 2021, Germany enacted the Gesetz über die unternehmerischen Sorgfaltspflichten in Lieferketten, also known as the <a href="https://www.bmwk.de/Redaktion/DE/Gesetze/Wirtschaft/lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (SCDDA)</a>. Additionally, on February 23, 2022, the European Commission proposed the <a href="https://ec.europa.eu/info/sites/info/files/business_economy_euro/governance/annex_3_annex_to_the_csdd_proposal_en.pdf" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDD)</a>, which aims to establish corporate sustainability obligations. Notably, in December 2022, European countries reached an agreement on an EU-wide supply chain law, and the next steps are scheduled for May 2023 at the European Parliament.Another momentous occasion is the Polish-Mongolian Business Forum held in Ulaanbaatar on April 25th, marked by the first visit of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, to Mongolia. The event opened up new possibilities for business relations between the two countries, creating opportunities for entrepreneurs in the construction, food, and fintech industries. Notably, the forum included the signing of Cooperation Agreements between the Polish National Chamber of Commerce and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce.During the event, the Mongolian Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry’s state secretary highlighted the importance of traceability in Mongolia’s integrated e-agriculture system. This is where our traceability solution comes in. We showcased our innovative use cases at the recent Cold Chain Poland event, and also introduced our solution to companies from Poland and Mongolia participating in the Polish-Mongolian Business forum. Our system is highly versatile, able to trace products both domestically and for export. This unique capability positions us as a potential trade bridge, unlocking new possibilities in the Polish market and beyond. As such, we offer an IT solution that facilitates seamless supply chain traceability and trade between countries, making us the ideal partner for the Asia-Europe organic food trade. Obortech - Smart Hub is a connected ecosystem that helps businesses, supply chains, and countries to connect, enabling seamless transactions and value chain collaboration.These developments represent a pivotal moment in supply chain accountability and visibility. We are increasingly confident in our product as we can enable seamless connectivity among all actors in the supply chain through the ecosystem of Smart Hub. This visibility and accountability empower businesses to make efficient decisions and drive positive change in the supply chain.In addition to recognizing the potential that we have, we are pleased to report that we had engaging discussions with several prospective partners during the Cold Chain Poland:<ol><li><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/lot-polish-airlines/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">LOT Polish Airline</a>’s representatives visited our booth and expressed their interest to monitor high-priced items during air freight, recognizing the value of our solution.</li><li><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/sweet-choice/about/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Sweet Choice</a>; a growing company specializing in distributing artisanal chocolates, also had an interesting discussion about our product to monitor the warehouse and fight with frauds.</li><li><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/in-out-io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Leyline</a>; a flow management system to Improve human experiences and logistic processes.</li><li><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/zak%C5%82ady-mi%C4%99sne-silesia-s.a./" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Zakłady Mięsne Silesia S.A.</a>; a leading meat industry player in Poland. Our team had the pleasure of meeting with them at the Polish-Mongolian Business Forum in Mongolia. During the meeting, we discussed potential partnership opportunities, and we are hopeful for what the future may bring. As we continue to explore this possibility, we will keep you updated on any progress made.</li><li><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/destilerias-xoriguer/about/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Destilerias Xoriguer</a>; a family-owned business from Spain that produces Gin Xoriguer using age-old techniques and traditional copper alembics.</li></ol>We are encouraged by the discussions with these companies and look forward to exploring collaborative opportunities with them. We also had productive engagements with several other companies as well.
