PUBLISH is pleased to announce that News Penguin has selected the Libellula angelina as April&#39;s &#34;Endangered Species of the Month&#34;, highlighting the need for conservation efforts to protect the species.Native to China, Japan, and Korea, the Libellula angelina is a yellowish-brown dragonfly with distinctive brown markings on its wings. It inhabits ponds with moderate plant growth in lowland hill areas. However, the habitats have been greatly reduced due to the filling of ponds for construction of houses and factories, as well as the conversion of natural ponds into artificial ones with concrete banks.According to the IUCN Red List, Libellula angelina is classified as &#34;Critically Endangered&#34; as of 2006, a classification reserved for species that face an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild.
