<h3 id="strong-what-are-myria-nodes-strong"><strong>What are Myria Nodes?</strong></h3><p>Myria Nodes are the backbone of our decentralized Myria Ecosystem. They contribute to the growth of the Myria ecosystem by providing support functions required to run a truly decentralized and secure network.</p><p>Myria nodes will be used for a variety of network-supporting activities including:</p><ul><li>Reliable test networks</li><li>Decentralized storage of critical information in the Myria ecosystem</li><li>Oracles, which are data feeds that provide smart contracts with off-chain data</li><li>Governance voting</li><li>Voting on game-specific concepts, and</li><li>Eventually will become Layer 2 operators for Myria, our Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution.</li></ul><h3 id="strong-what-rewards-do-myria-nodes-receive-strong"><strong>What rewards do Myria nodes receive?</strong></h3><p>In return for their valued contribution to the Myria network, node operators will receive:</p><ul><li><strong>Daily $MYRIA token rewards</strong>. Node reward % of the total token supply will be rewarded to Myria Node operators on a daily basis on a halving schedule. This means, as $MYRIA distribution reduces gradually overtime, increasingly more projects and builders will be utilising the Myria platform.</li><li><strong>Exclusive NFT drops</strong> that can be used in our ecosystem of games — including NFTs from Partner Studio play-to-earn games.</li><li><strong>Governance voting rights</strong>. Myria node owners will have the exclusive right to vote and help shape the future of Myria.</li></ul><p>Your node must be online for at least 6 hours within each 24 hour period to be eligible to receive rewards.</p><p>Nodes will start generating $MYRIA token rewards after our Token Generation Event (TGE) which will occur alongside our Public Node Sale, planned to occur in Q4 this year.</p><p>In the meantime, all node owners will be eligible to participate in exclusive events that will give them a chance to receive NFTs from Myria Studio and partner studio game launches.</p><h3 id="strong-how-can-you-run-a-myria-node-strong"><strong>How can you run a Myria node?</strong></h3><p>You can either set up your Myria node on your own device, such as your home PC, or on a VPS cloud server.</p><p>All you need to do is:</p><ol><li>Purchase a Myria Node</li><li>Create a Myria account</li><li>Download Myria Node Software (once it is released)</li><li>Install the software and set up your node</li></ol><h4>Requirements to run a node</h4><p>Our Node operation is not heavily resource-intensive like traditional cryptocurrency mining. You’ll be able to run our Node software from your home computer with the following minimum requirements:</p><ul><li>4 GB RAM</li><li>2 CPU Cores</li><li>60 GB Disk Space</li><li>An x86/X64 Processor</li><li>A Stable Internet Connection</li></ul><p>Because Myria nodes require uptime of 6 hours per day to be eligible for rewards, a stable internet connection is required.
