Welcome to the RMRK Ecosystem Report for February and March 2023. These past two months have been marked with steady progress as we get closer to our initial EVM release.In the technical development arena, we made significant strides in expanding the capabilities of RMRK NFTs on EVM. We have additional EIPs in review and have enabled RMRK NFT deployment to the zkSync Era TestNet.On the Singular side, we have taken significant steps forward as well, with Singular EVM support entering an internal QA period and the addition of our new Artist Advocate, Magusz. In content and community, we have hosted engaging events and released insightful videos to continue building and growing our community.Read on for more updates.<h2 id="header-0">Technical Development</h2><ul><li>We now have two additional EIPs in review: <a href="https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-6454" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ERC-6454</a>, which proposes minimalistic non-transferable NFTs (Soulbound), and <a href="https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-6381" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ERC-6381</a>, which introduces an emotable extension for non-fungible tokens.</li><li>RMRK NFTs can now be deployed to zkSync Era TestNet, expanding the network’s NFT capabilities.</li><li>We created a <a href="https://github.com/rmrk-team/evm-template/tree/zksync" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">RMRK EVM template repo</a> for deployments on zkSync, making it easier for developers to get started.</li><li>The first video <a href="https://rmrk.link/gonft2" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">tutorial series</a> on building custom implementations with RMRK on EVM is now complete, providing even more resources for developers to explore the advanced NFT capabilities of RMRK.</li></ul>Singular<ul><li>Singular EVM support has entered an internal QA period, bringing us one step closer to release.</li><li>We announced plans to <a href="https://medium.com/rmrkapp/a-new-chapter-for-rmrk-embracing-evm-support-and-expanding-the-nft-ecosystem-18651baa3990" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">sunset RMRK Kusama implementation</a>, streamlining our focus on EVM.</li><li>We also announced the sunsetting of the legacy RMRK 1.0 Singular website, as we continue to improve and upgrade our offerings.</li><li>We welcomed Magusz to the team as our new Artist Advocate, and although Katarina will be missed, we’re excited to have Magusz onboard.</li></ul><h2 id="header-1">Content &amp; Community</h2>We have been working hard to create engaging content and build our community:<ul><li>We hosted a Brigada Event, showcasing some Singular artists in a one-of-a-kind NFT Showroom event.</li><li>We published videos of RMRK at ETHDenver, including a <a href="https://youtu.be/kFNk_z-x-Q0" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">recap of Day 1</a>, a <a href="https://youtu.be/Tx3YOx4VOzc" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">recap of Day 2</a>, and <a href="https://youtu.be/y9GHrMXlyDU" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bruno Škvorc’s (RMRK co-founder) talk</a> on the future of NFTs with RMRK.</li><li>We also published an <a href="https://twitter.com/RmrkApp/status/1633165120384692243?s&#61;20" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">interview with the zkSync Head of Product</a>, providing insights into the platform’s inner workings.</li><li>We held an <a href="https://twitter.com/RmrkSingular/status/1630598062371483650?s&#61;20" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Artist Roundtable</a> with new Artist Advocate Magusz, bringing together artists and creators to discuss the industry.</li></ul>That’s all from the last two months here at RMRK HQ.
