<h2 id="header-0"><strong>tldr;</strong></h2><ul><li>&#x1f6a2; The top priority is to release the next version of the protocol, V2, by end-of-the second quarter of 2023</li><li>✅ The PALM token will get a real utility and a cash flow generator.</li><li>❎ Palmswap v2 will not need market makers, these will be replaced with liquidity providers.</li><li>&#x1faa6; The current Palmswap perpetual protocol will eventually be deprecated after the migration to v2 is complete</li><li>0️⃣ v2 will have zero Price impact</li></ul><p>Palmswap&#39;s mission is to build the leading on-chain crypto trading platform for perpetuals.</p><p>Decentralization is the core of Palmswap&#39;s mission. We firmly believe that decentralization will drive radical improvements in transparency, security, fairness, and equality in opportunity.</p><p>To further advance this mission, we are developing the next version of the protocol, V2. Palmswap V2 will be open source, fully decentralized, and completely controlled by the community. The top priority is to release V2 by the end of Q2.</p><h2 id="header-1"><strong>Palmswap v1 Today</strong></h2><p>Today v1 works on a dvAMM-based trading engine. This means that there are virtual AMM pools that enable trading.</p><p>We have been live on the Alpha Mainnet for about 5 weeks now and will be releasing the first version of the exchange to everyone on April 18th. v1 is designed to gather feedback which will be integrated into v2 then. So far we have been able to gather great feedback and have already done some implementations in v2. The main difference between v1 and v2 is the on-chain trading engine. While v1 is based on AMM, v2 is built on a synthetic architecture that is more scalable and sustainable.</p><h2 id="header-2"><strong>The Future of Palmswap with v2</strong></h2><p><strong>Overview:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>One-click trading</strong>One-click trading (1CT) removes the need to interact with a wallet when submitting transactions, reducing time to trade while improving the trading experience.</li><li><strong>Liquidity Providing Model</strong>Liquidity providers are a part of the new protocol and enable trading, for which they receive 60% of the trading fees. Users will have the possibility to deposit USDT as liquidity.</li><li><strong>Zero Price Impact</strong>The v2&#39;s unique synthetic architecture allows Palmswap to be more capital efficient than any existing platform. Through the use of liquidity providers, trades can be opened without price impact.</li><li><strong>Earn trading fees with PALM</strong>With the introduction of the new protocol, the PALM token gets a real utility in the platform. PALM token holders can generate cash flow by staking their tokens and in return receive 30% of the trading fees.</li><li><strong>Scalability of markets</strong>Since all trades use USDT liquidity (Trading Vault), we have a big advantage over other platforms that need to build new liquidity in their order books as soon as they list a new asset and maintain high liquidity for each pair. In the future, it will be possible to trade both cryptocurrencies and stocks.</li><li><strong>Realtime market price updates</strong>While all derivatives platforms generate their price through order books, AMM, or similar models, which often end up in prices that do not correspond to the real spot price of the asset, we use a custom real-time Chainlink node operators network to get the median price for each trading order, ensuring the best price for traders.</li><li><strong>No front-running attacks</strong>Due to the fact that there is no price impact in v2, there is no possibility for front runners to harm the trader by pre-placing their orders.</li><li><strong>Completely new UI/UX</strong>The new version of our exchange comes with a completely redesigned user interface that takes the user experience to a whole new level.
