It has been some time since our team spotlight and are excited to restart our behind the scenes dive into the UnCaged Studios team pioneering this next generation of gaming!Developing a game, including all features and infrastructure, is no simple feat. It requires a seasoned and knowledgeable team to build it right and a ninja head of R&amp;D to lead the way. Today’s spotlight will focus on UnCaged Studios Head of R&amp;D, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/roy-simha-559078158/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Roy Simha</a>!Although spending some years growing up in Belgium and Hong Kong, Roy was born and largely raised in Israel, later graduating from the IDC University with a degree in computer science. His career as a developer, already began during his service where he coded 3D scenarios in Unity and Unreal. Immediately following his service, he spent nearly two years as a software developer for Tuff, a VR company that built a product for professional sports players, before being recruited by <a href="https://www.sciplay.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SciPlay Corporation</a>. SciPlay is a subsidiary of <a href="https://www.scientificgames.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Scientific Games</a> — one of the largest and oldest video game technology companies. Roy climbed the ranks at SciPlay from mobile engineer to team lead where he spent 4 years. Prior to joining UnCaged Studios as Head of R&amp;D, Roy consulted for Afterhours Games as their Head of R&amp;D.At UnCaged, Roy brings a wealth of experience and is the right level of hands on to lead all game, web app, and blockchain development for MonkeyLeague! As Head of R&amp;D, he is responsible for ensuring the product vision is being executed in the highest of quality and on time. That breaks down to making sure all R&amp;D teams (Game dev, Web app &amp; blockchain dev, and Q&amp;A) are aligned, communication and work processes are coherent, the code level is on point and the right build quality and stability is met.We are lucky to have Roy and his decade plus experience as part of the UnCaged family leading this year of major game releases!That’s all for today’s Team Spotlight!
