TopGoal is a football metaverse that combines officially licensed digital collectibles, GameFi, and SocialFi to bridge sports to web3. Football AIIn a real football game, human players make decisions every 0.3 to 0.5 seconds. TopGoal’s in-house football AI algorithm calculates and adjusts each player’s actions every 0.1 second, allowing for faster adaptation to changing field conditions. The algorithm uses a fundamental hierarchy of decision-making that controls a player’s response to opponents, a middle hierarchy that considers other players’ positions and tendencies, and a higher hierarchy that incorporates team tactics, player roles, and the live score. With millions of options calculated, only a few are chosen by the AI. TopGoal has spent over seven years refining this logic and will continue to improve its model.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/1*HAOJcVoOo2IGBlJbFYgnSQ.png" />2. 3D Motion EngineFor 3D games, a motion engine is critical to controlling how characters move and interact with the environment. While most 3D game engines have their own motion engines, they are often optimized for non-sports games. In popular MOBA, RPG, or FPS games, character motions are limited to a small set of actions, such as moving forward or jumping. In contrast, sports games require a wide range of motions, often over 3000 or more, to simulate realistic movements such as sprinting, turning, and jumping within a short period of time.In MOBA and FPS games, character actions are initiated immediately after the player inputs commands. However, in sports games, characters must complete complex movements in a short period of time and with realistic inertia to accurately simulate human movements. Top-quality motion engines are critical to creating a realistic gaming experience and keeping players engaged.At TopGoal, we’ve developed an in-house motion engine that outperforms Unity and Unreal’s built-in motion engines, delivering superior character motion control. Our engine is optimized for a wide range of character types, including any character with two arms and two legs. High Quality 3D RenderingThe ultimate metaverse is a virtual world that approaches the resolution of human vision. However, due to hardware limitations and display device PPI, the highest resolution currently achievable on mobile devices is 2K, and for PC it is 4K. At TopGoal, we’re committed to providing a realistic experience for our players, and we’ve prepared all materials and tools from day one to achieve this goal. This includes carefully aligning and processing models, normal maps, shading maps, textures, and more to maximize both rendering quality and fps. Metahuman DesignIn a metaverse one of the fundamental elements is human. People need a human who can express themselves with facial expressions and motions which are far more better than the typical pale and nerdy characters we usually see. TopGoal offers three pipelines for metahuman designs: real human scanning, creating from scratch, and refining an existing character. Our in-house tools for designing facial expression controllers allow us to capture even the tiniest muscle movements, and the input is easily customizable. Creative Gameplay DesignFootball is one of the most popular sports worldwide, with billions of fans who have likely played one or more of the three most famous football games: FIFA, PES, and FM. Economic System DesignA skilled meta manager must balance income and expenses, just like real-world football clubs. Signing players requires virtual currency, while selling them earns currency. Good rankings generate more currency and GOAL tokens, while poor rankings lead to fewer. Upgrading the club’s infrastructure attracts more fans to the stadium and generates more income, but it also requires immediate expenses. Hiring experienced coaches and scouts provides long-term benefits, but their salaries may put the club’s financial balance at risk. The price of virtual players is decided by millions of online managers and is constantly changing. Designing an ecosystem with multiple coefficients is a challenging task, but the TopGoal team is confident that within three to four months after the open beta test of Multiverse Footballcraft, the system will be stable and attract millions of fans to play. The current TopManager game will be incorporated into the Multiverse Footballcraft project, and the game engine will be upgraded to enhance the overall experience.7. Cross-Platform CompatibilityWe believe that the football meta should be accessible to everyone, regardless of the device they choose to use. Within 18 months, we aim to ensure that players can enjoy the game simultaneously on a range of devices, including browsers, iPhones, Android phones, and PCs/Steam. At TopGoal, we are committed to exporting all the supported versions of the Multiverse Footballcraft project, so that players can access the game from whichever device they prefer.
