The initial TopGoal tokenomics took a dual token structure including $TMT and $GOAL token.The $TMT token was initially created as the utility token for TopGoal Gaming products, including TopManager, and later adopted as the sole utility token of TopGoal metaverse. To ensure a fair launch, the TopGoal team provided a $1 million self-fund in Pancakeswap for initial liquidity, and the $TMT token was launched without team/investor/adviser distribution.The $GOAL token, on the other hand, is the governance token of TopGoal metaverse, with a total supply of 1 billion. It serves several utilities, including TopGoal Metaverse Governance, utility in TopGoal apps like TopManager, revenue distribution through buyback and staking rewards, VIP services and privileges in TopGoal metaverse by staking, and rewards for ecosystem contributors.Now that the $GOAL token has started to be listed on partners of CEX/DEX, the TopGoal team has re-evaluated the best solution of TopGoal’s tokenomics for the next stage. After listing DEX for one year, the team has received a lot of community feedback regarding the $TMT token and has learned lessons through extreme changes in the crypto market.The initial design of the $TMT token was to let the community use the token for participating in ecosystem applications like TopManager while also using the token to incentivize participants who contribute to the project. However, there are short-term arbitragers who only trade $TMT for profit and never participate in the ecosystem applications. This can lead to community members purchasing $TMT at a higher cost than they should and receiving rewards with a value less than they should be. As $TMT is currently designed as the utility token of TopGoal metaverse, the stability and usability of $TMT will be the most important factors of its tokenomics design. Hence, the team has decided to adopt the following changes to $TMT tokenomics:1. Control the balance of consumption and production of $TMT to make its value become more stable around a fixed rate based on ecosystem growth. At the current timing, we will control $TMT to be in a mild deflation mode. In the future, based on community growth, we will adjust the target value to a higher one if needed.2. Optimize an in-app price system and adjust mechanisms that can potentially help users who want to play the game can be less affected by the fluctuation of token prices on secondary markets, e.g. avoid purchasing $TMT at an extremely high price when it is pumped by short-term arbitragers.3. Store the revenue generated on the TopGoal official platform directly in the TopGoal ecosystem treasury. The treasury will only be used to build the TopGoal ecosystem and incentivize ecosystem contributors through event rewards, staking rewards for $GOAL, and other means. The treasury will be governed by the DAO of GOAL after launch.4. Burn all $TMT consumed on the TopGoal platform as usual.To progressively adopt the new $TMT tokenomics without causing unnecessary marketing issues, the TopGoal team plans to take the following steps first:1. Upgrade in-app purchase currency in TopManager from $TMT to TopGoal Points2. Support $TMT to purchase TopGoal Points at 1:10 rate3. Support $USD to purchase TopGoal Points at 1:10 rate in the future once the $TMT reaches $1. The rate could be adjusted to a higher value, e.g. 2:10, once the community grows larger with $TMT price reaches a much higher level.In summary, the TopGoal team is optimizing tokenomics for the next stage by adopting changes that will ensure stability, usability, and incentivize ecosystem contributors. The team will keep listening to the feedback from our community and optimze the project in the long run. These changes will help to ensure the long-term success of the TopGoal platform and benefit the entire community.
