This is a huge milestone in the development of Bloktopia and the experience for our community.Following on from our update in edition <a href="https://medium.com/&#64;bloktopia/bloktopia-developer-diaries-8-e00777caa693" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">#8</a> on asset optimisation, the team have been working on the ability to house multiple avatars in one scene, without compromising on visual quality or decreasing movement/ animation quality.This is an important feature to get right both for exploring and socialising in Bloktopia when in VR, along with major events where multiple avatars will be in close proximity of each other.In the video below, Dave, Alex and J are in the development area of Unity, demonstrating a basic demo of avatar movements and interactions, without any deterioration of the animation when coming closer, or going further away.<react-video url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v&#61;mRVMxDgBW98"></react-video>The next stage of this process will be the delivery of voice, which needs to sync up with the timing of things like the walking and hand gestures that you can see in the video above.Once that is complete, we have the ability to create a fully networked environment with multiple users, that have the ability to voice chat.
