<h2 id="header-0">An address linked to the $190 million Nomad exploit transferred $1.57 million in Ether to the authorized cryptocurrency mixer Tornado Cash.</h2>In an alert, blockchain security firm CertiK flagged that a wallet address associated with the Nomad hack had transferred 1,200 ETH into <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news/us-treasury-updates-sanctions-tornado-cash" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Tornado Cash</a>, implying that the attackers were cashing out. On August 1, hundreds of exploiters flocked to drain the bridge&#39;s whole value, which had been frozen in a matter of hours due to a security failure.A survey released last year found that nearly 90% of the participants in the breach were copycats who stole $88 million in digital assets.While many attackers participated in the vulnerability with malicious intent, others participated with the aim of returning the tokens. As a result, a project jumped at the opportunity to offer a non-fungible token incentive to people who chose to return stolen funds to Nomad.In a recent update on December 8, the Nomad team released a bridge relaunch guide after addressing the contract vulnerability that led to the $190 million attack.
