<p>Although we realise 2022 was a shocking year for many cryptocurrency enthusiasts, it was a year of significant development at Alchemy Pay. As a fiat-crypto payment gateway that has been serving business since 2019, we took the decision to utilise our payment network to provide direct-to-customer solutions; an on and off-ramp and an NFT checkout.</p><p>It was a year filled with countless developments, integrations, and events that ended with the announcement of our new <a href="https://alchemypay.org/blog/alchemy-pay-roadmap-2023-a-new-year-an-expansive-vision/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">roadmap</a>. Check out our progress over the past 12 months and we think you’ll agree there has been no harder working team than Alchemy Pay. A heartfelt thanks to our loyal ACH community - let’s stay together and look forward to a positive 2023!</p><h2 id="header-0">Integrations for On-Ramp, Off-Ramp, and NFT Checkout</h2><p>In late June 2022, we launched our fiat-crypto on-ramp, available via plugin or API. Further capabilities such as an off-ramp (currently we offer payouts to bank accounts around the world in 29 currencies), and an NFT Checkout have since been added to our suite of payment services.</p><p>We are able to serve crypto platforms of all sizes with Mastercard and Visa payments for users in 173 countries supported, alongside countless regional e-wallets and domestic and international bank transfers. Industry uptake on our ramp services has been constant and immediate, with the following exchanges, wallets, marketplaces, and games all completing successful integration:</p><p>LBank exchange, <a href="https://ambcrypto.com/mexc-global-leverages-alchemy-pay-for-on-and-off-ramping-in-japan-korea-and-indonesia/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">MEXC</a> exchange, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/shorts/WLClf7c-Hrg" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">TokenPocket</a> wallet, BeFi wallet, Vision Network, Encentive, XWorld Games, SWFT blockchain, Yibi exchange, Transit Finance, Phoenix exchange, Upstairs.io, ChainUp, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fsSHf5xxG8U" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">MaskEX</a> exchange &amp; wallet, Pionex exchange, Particle Network, PearDAO, X.Plus exchange, DappOS Web3 infrastructure provider, MixMarvel GameFi, Weex, MAP Protocol, BitKeep, Hotbit, SaaSGo, Weex, X.Plus exchange, iNFTspace, CloudChat, Nest Protocol, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/shorts/WzQ73DL_2VM" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">MMO Pixel</a>.</p><p>As a Singapore based company, we were also delighted to provide the fiat-crypto on-ramp for minting the sold out <a href="https://www.cryptonewsz.com/we-are-sg-minting-begins-to-celebrate-singapore-national-day/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">&#34;We Are SG&#34;</a> NFT collection that celebrated Singapore National Day!</p><p>Furthermore, major networks such as <a href="https://alchemypay.org/news-and-press/arbitrum-teams-up-with-alchemy-pay-for-fiat-crypto-onramps/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Arbitrum</a>, Polygon, <a href="https://news.bitcoin.com/vechain-partners-alchemy-pay-for-fiat-payment-rails-and-crypto-on-ramps/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">VeChain</a>, and <a href="https://www.pymnts.com/cryptocurrency/2022/algorand-partners-with-alchemy-pay-to-drive-direct-fiat-payments/#:~:text&#61;Once%20Algorand%20is%20integrated%20with,automatically%20converted%20to%20fiat%20currency" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Algorand</a> have all been collaborating with Alchemy Pay with the aim to give blockchain developers easy access to our on and off-ramps on their platforms.</p><p>To make our ramp plugin as appealing as possible to Ethereum’s hardcore followers, we have also integrated <a href="https://alchemypay.org/news-and-press/ens-collaborates-with-alchemy-pay-so-users-can-buy-crypto-with-fiat-using-ens-domains/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum Name Service</a> (ENS). When using the Alchemy Pay ramp, users can enter their human-readable names like ‘alice.eth’ instead of their wallet address for a more convenient payment process.</p><p>Many more integrations are underway, each one with different requirements and customisations.</p><h2 id="header-1">Fiat-Crypto Payments and On-Ramps for Offline Events</h2><p>The capabilities of our payment suite were demonstrated at multiple premiere offline events around the globe. The art world’s most renowned art fair, the <a href="https://alchemypay.org/news-and-press/on-site-crypto-payments-for-venice-biennales-first-ever-nft-exhibition/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Venice Biennale</a>, had their first foray into crypto NFT art in June, and Alchemy Pay provided the fiat-crypto payment system to make the artworks available for purchase on-site. That was followed up by payment provision for NFTs at Hong Kong’s stunning exhibition, <a href="https://alchemypay.org/news-and-press/binance-pay-alchemy-pay-epayments-and-qponbay-support-offline-crypto-payments-for-nfts-at-artaverse/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Artaverse</a>.</p><p>In September, we demonstrated our merchant crypto payment system, at the VIP Formula 1 after-party, <a href="https://alchemypay.org/news-and-press/alchemy-pay-provides-crypto-payments-at-mandala-weekender-during-singapore-grand-prix/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Mandala Weekender</a>. Guests were able to buy drinks using USDT, USDC, and BUSD on multiple networks.</p><h2 id="header-2">Crypto Payment Acceptance</h2><p>While 2022 was very much about the development and launch of our on &amp; off-ramp and NFT checkout, we did not neglect to expand the global touchpoints for our crypto payment system. This is a ‘hands off’ system that allows for online and in-store customers to pay with crypto, while we settle with merchants in their local fiat currency.</p><p>In May, we worked with <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/press-releases/instpower-crypto-payments-at-14k-locations-with-binance-pay-alchemy-pay" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">instpower and Binance Pay</a> to enable 14,000 instpower power banks to accept payments with crypto so global users can conveniently charge their devices on the go.</p><p>We integrated popular tokens like MakerDAO’s stablecoin <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/press-releases/dai-supported-by-alchemy-pays-network-for-instant-real-world-payments" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Dai</a>, Stepn’s move-to-earn token, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v&#61;pnuKedbYWHg" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">GMT</a>, and LooksRare’s <a href="https://twitter.com/AlchemyPay/status/1552277629503299584" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">LOOK</a> so that users can use their tokens in a real-world setting.</p><p>A partnership with <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/epayments-alchemy-pay-partner-australian-230000989.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ePayments</a> enabled us to enter the Australian and New Zealand markets; we opened up our system to 32,000 <a href="https://alchemypay.org/news-and-press/allvalue-merchants-accept-crypto-via-alchemy-pay/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">AllValue</a> clients; GrePay, which processes over 200k transactions, opened us to their key markets such as UAE, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Chile. Perhaps most glamorous was the provision of crypto payments at <a href="https://alchemypay.org/news-and-press/alchemy-pay-provides-crypto-payments-at-mandala-weekender-during-singapore-grand-prix/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Mandala Weekender</a> during the Singapore Grand Prix.</p><h2 id="header-3">Many Offline Highlights</h2><p>We were thrilled to receive <a href="https://www.entrepreneur.com/en-ae/business-news/the-recap-leaders-in-fintech-awards-2022/435462" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Entrepreneur’s Crypto Payment Gateway of the Year 2022</a> award at a prestigious event in Dubai in September.</p><p>We were keen to promote our new ramp solutions at events around the world in 2022, and position ourselves in the centre of the industry. Our Ecosystem Lead, Robert McCracken, gave a well-received presentation at the <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/video/practical-crypto-payments-accessible-web3-122558238.html?guccounter&#61;1&amp;guce_referrer&#61;aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&amp;guce_referrer_sig&#61;AQAAAF4SaanQEHN9jVUIKArAhDj8z0jDVJwdWP8oFNyveD4rI8sTe3055Hqb4GfmUcFYSc7mhHgcb69o13ueHc3bJXEirS34uPJgAFXIo-4CmIJdUuW7n83ovIBJQZToB04SNVbZOGZ8RaR2YDUc6TbhcaE3WRfo-_CVkLAmOHNcc-XT" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Consensus</a> conference in Austin, Texas, as well as taking part in <a href="https://twitter.com/dao_positiveV/status/1594136675911086080?s&#61;20&amp;t&#61;TYiAS12VZ35ue-VdN3jz_A" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Harvard’s Web3 Day</a>. Our team had overwhelming interest at booths at Token2049 in both <a href="https://youtu.be/IeeFKruWE4Y" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Singapore</a> and <a href="https://news.bitcoin.com/alchemy-pay-brings-onramp-and-nft-checkout-to-london-token2049/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">London</a>, and made many connections at <a href="https://alchemypay.org/blog/lisbon-breakpoint-2022-alchemy-pay-offers-easy-access-to-solana-community/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Lisbon Breakpoint</a> and <a href="https://youtu.be/GLoLeKc7Vbc" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">NFT NYC</a>. Karmen Tang, CMO, also joined Binance Live to discuss Web3 payments and the future of NFTs.</p><p>After becoming an Alchemy Pay Ambassador, the soccer legend and former Argentina national captain, <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/press-releases/argentina-and-barcelona-legend-mascherano-launches-alchemy-pay-nft-checkout" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Javier Mascherano</a>, launched his exclusive NFT collection at an event co-hosted by SaaSGo and Alchemy Pay in New York. And who would have guessed it - Argentina went on to win the World Cup in Qatar just a few days later!</p><p>Continuing on the soccer theme, we also sponsored one of Spain’s longest-standing clubs, <a href="https://www.90min.com/posts/real-betis-announce-partnership-alchemy-pay" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Real Betis</a>. After a competitive season in La Liga, Betis capped their season by bringing home the Copa del Rey - Alchemy Pay sure can pick a winner!</p><p>In a highly successful promotional exercise that lit up the sky across major cities across the world, we ran a series of giant billboard video commercials. In  Times Square and the NASDAQ Tower in New York, Canary Wharf in London, La Defense in Paris, and Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo, we created a love-themed video in gratitude to the ACH community and on the following days ran our “Times Change, So Does Money” commercial.</p><p>With our success in the fiat-crypto payment industry we also felt it was important to give something back. The technological approach of <a href="https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2022-03-09-alchemy-pay-donates-to-shamiri-institutes-mental-health-cause-in-africa/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Shamiri Institute</a> appealed to us. Shamiri is a Harvard-backed charity that works towards improving mental health for young adults in Africa using modern day methods.</p><h2 id="header-4">Important Fintech Partnerships</h2><p>The infrastructure that underpins everything we do as a fiat-crypto payment gateway is made possible by our relationships with not only blockchain projects, but also major entities in the traditional financial space. Acquirers, remittance partners, OTC exchanges, custody providers, fraud prevention partners may not seem glamorous but they are a huge part of our ability to provide payment services to users in 173 countries.</p><p>In 2022, our capabilities were bolstered by relationships with fintech and e-commerce firms, such as, <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/alchemy-pay-ach-leverages-fintech-095300731.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">NIUM</a>, <a href="https://www.checkout.com/blog/post/alchemy-pay-aims-to-make-crypto-payments-mainstream" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Checkout.com</a>, <a href="https://alchemypay.org/blog/fintechs-cutting-edge/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Mercuryo</a>, and <a href="https://news.bitcoin.com/alchemy-pay-adds-euros-pay-in-offerings-via-paytend/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Paytend</a>. Our fraud prevention and KYC &amp; AML procedures have been secured by the services of <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/alchemy-pay-partners-forter-enhance-130000137.html" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Forter</a> and SumSub.</p><h2 id="header-5">ACH Listings</h2><p>ACH became available on Binance Chain as a BEP-20 token to provide more flexibility for ACH users.
