<h2 id="header-0">According to the most recent rumours, Sam Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of FTX, is prepared to be extradited to the United States as soon as Monday.</h2><p>According to the most recent reports, Sam Bankman-Fried, a convicted co-founder of <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency/ftx-token-ftt-prices-usd" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">FTX</a>, has made it very known that he is preparing to be extradited from the Bahamas to the United States, possibly as soon as Monday. Bankman-Fried, who had been held in Nassau the week prior, is due to appear in court in the Bahamas, where it is believed that he will agree to be extradited to the U.S. in order to defend himself against fraud accusations.</p><h3 id="sbf-prepared-for-extradition-to-the-us">SBF Prepared for Extradition to the US</h3><p>The former CEO of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange has been held in custody in the Bahamas since last Monday, when he was taken into custody in Manhattan at the request of US prosecutors.</p><p><a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news/its-a-no-bail-for-sbf" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SBF</a> has been requested to be extradited to the US after being charged with numerous offences, including wire fraud, by the authorities.</p><h4>Detention of SBF in Nassau</h4><p>The 30-year-old crypto tycoon has been held at the Fox Hill Prison in Nassau since his arrest and the Bahamas' court's subsequent denial of his bail application.</p><p>International evaluations of the institution have harshly criticised it for having an insufficient sanitary system and too many residents.</p><p>The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) have also filed civil complaints against Bankman-Fried, alleging that he deceived investors and transferred customer funds entrusted to the FTX exchange to his private trading company, Alameda Research.</p><h4>Changing Position If No Bail</h4><p>Initially, Bankman-Fried refused to give up his right to resist extradition to the U.S., but if his plea to be released on bail is denied, the cryptocurrency pioneer is reportedly going to change his mind as soon as Monday.</p><p>FTX's risk management shortcomings have been admitted by Bankman-Fried, but he has consistently denied any involvement on his part.</p>
