Cadets,Recently we <a href="https://medium.com/&#64;StarLaunch/cadets-21c508485f2a" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">announced our plans</a> to change how our FCFS sytem works and to require a minimum stake amount to participate in the sales facilitated on the StarLaunch platform.Now it is time to reveal the next star from the galactic map.As you all know, Hydrazine is our secondary token that is emitted to those that stake $STARS in the Fusion vault. The more $STARS a user stakes in the Fusion Vault, the larger the share of the hourly emittance. Hydrazine is then used to participate in the sales on the platform.This unique model gives our users the freedom to participate in the sales how they like. Users can burn all their Hydrazine on a project they really like, skip the ones they don’t like, or take smaller allocations in the ones they have mixed feelings about.Unfortunately, due to the current market conditions, most (if not all) projects are waiting to conduct IDOs. This means little to no Hydrazine (N2H4) is being burned at this time, while it continues to generate at a rate of <a href="https://starlaunch.gitbook.io/starlaunch-a-cadets-guide/the-basics/two-token-mechanics/usdn2h4" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">1080 per hour</a>, resulting in a circulating supply of roughly 7.6M at the time of writing.<blockquote>Hydrazine is generated at a rate of 1080 per hour and is distributed proportionally to all accounts that are staking $STARS.</blockquote>Hydrazine Emittance HalvingThe large circulating supply is problematic, and we have come to the conclusion that the best way to go forward is to halve the emissions rate for N2H4. We strongly believe that this small change, in combination with our other updates, can have a strong beneficial effect on our model.Before the end of the year we will halve the N2H4 emission rate from 1080 to 540 per hour. After halving, the amount of N2H4 users get per $STARS staked will be lower, but the percentage of N2H4 each user receives will remain the same relative to total emissions.<blockquote>In the new system, Hydrazine is generated at a rate of 540 per hour and is distributed proportionally to all accounts that are staking $STARS.</blockquote>ExamplePeter has 20,000 $STARS staked and locked for 90 days. When checking his vault, he sees that the total $STARS locked in the Fusion vault is 5.6 Million. This means that his stake is 0.36% from the total $STARS staked.With a emission of 1080 per hour and a total of 5.6M $STARS Staked, it means that every 1,000 $STARS staked in the fusion vault, generate 4.60 Hydrazine per day. Peter would in this case receive 92 Hydrazine per day, which is 0.36% from the total Hydrazine emitted per day.With the new emission of 540 per hour and a total of 5.6M $STARS Staked, every 1,000 $STARS staked in the <a href="https://starlaunch.gitbook.io/starlaunch-a-cadets-guide/cadet-dashboard/fusion-vault" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Fusion Vault</a>, generate 2.30 Hydrazine per day.
