<p>On December 12th, 2022, the former CEO and founder of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried arrested in the Bahamas after United States’ prosecutors filed numerous criminal charges and become one of the most dramatic falls from grace in recent corporate history. On the other hand, the Securities and Exchange Commission has initiated a separate set of charges against Bankman-Fried, relating to “violations of our securities laws, which will be filed publicly tomorrow in the Southern District of New York.”SBF was under &#34;supervision&#34; in the Bahamas since the collapse of FTX in November. A legal battle between the Bahamian and American governments over who had jurisdiction in the case was playing out in court.
