<h2 id="header-0">Official sources claimed on Monday that hackers have allegedly demanded an estimated ₹200 crore in cryptocurrency from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, as its server has been down for the sixth day in a row.</h2>It is anticipated that the breach, which was discovered on Wednesday morning, may have jeopardized the data of 3-4 crore patients.As per reports, patient care services in the emergency, outpatient, inpatient, and laboratory wings are being managed manually because the server remains down.The India Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN), Delhi Police, and Ministry of Home Affairs officials are probing the ransomware attack.On November 25, the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of the Delhi Police registered a case of extortion and <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news/ethiopian-crypto-service-providers-required-register-countrys-cybersecurity-agency-report-2" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cyber terrorism</a>.As per official sources, internet access has been disabled on hospital computers based on the advice of the investigative agencies.<h4>Several VIPs, including past prime ministers, ministers, officials, and judges, had their data saved on the AIIMS server.</h4>&#34;Hackers have allegedly demanded roughly 200 crores in <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/cryptocurrency" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cryptocurrencies</a>,&#34; one of the sources told local media outlets.Meanwhile, the NIC e-hospital database and e-hospital application servers have been restored. The NIC team is scanning and clearing infection from other e-hospital servers housed at AIIMS that are necessary for the delivery of medical services, an official source said.Four physical servers have been scanned and prepped for the databases and applications in preparation for the restoration of e-hospital services.In addition, the AIIMS network is being sanitized. Antivirus solutions for servers and computers have been planned. It has been installed on roughly 1,200 of the 5,000 computers available.
