During the Christmas break, I started reading the ‘Inheritance Cycle’ by Christopher Paolini. The series was a birthday gift for my daughter, yet, I felt compelled to read it. The characters, the magic and the mythological adventure storyline reminded me of The Lord of the Rings. That got me thinking on what was so special about these novels that make them ‘unputdownable’?Bullieverse was founded with a vision to create utility around NFTs, but in a fun and adventurous way. The mission to create NFT utility, merged with a gaming and a metaverse play saw the emergence of the Bulls. We believe we are different, and we have already started demonstrating that through our execution — quality of design, gaming experience, platform design etc.,There are several metaverse and gaming platforms out there, and yes, we can learn from them.<ul><li>Roblox are a great ecosystem, yet they are quite centralised and do not offer creators the remuneration that they deserve. That is no fault of Roblox. The definition of an enterprise in a Web 2.0 backdrop is the guilty party. The rich get richer.</li><li>Decentraland is an inspiring model. They have got an asset sale model, and for that, will remain pioneers in the metaverse play. However, from an economic perspective, it still remains to be seen how Decentraland can create the network effect of a marketplace like play. How they incentivise land owners to help increase liquidity and the value of the whole ecosystem is yet to be seen.</li><li>Axie Infinity have been leading the way in the Play2Earn space. The verdict is still out there as to whether they will be able to scale the model and if they would be able to deal with a few downturns. However, at this point, they are pioneers of Play2Earn. Yet, it is a shame that gamers go to Axie infinity mostly to earn, less to play. The experience is definitely missing if you are a hardcore gamer.</li><li>Sandbox is the next one of the usual suspects. And you probably can visualise my gartner quadrant already. Sandbox lack the gaming experience that would attract hardcore gamers used to PubG and Fortnite. While developers and creators are restricted by real estate, players lack a real incentive as well.</li></ul>So what would ‘The Metaverse’ look like? What are the fundamental building blocks of a Web3.0 metaverse play? Let’s define them, shall we?<ul><li>Native Web 3.0: The world has moved into a ‘creator economy’ and more recently into ‘create your economy’ model. Products that serve a community will be built by the community, these communities will grow into ecosystems and ecosystems into economies. Centralised models work well with traditional capital markets. However, as communities start defining state rules through DAOs and create their own markets, we will start seeing a paradigm shift. Decentralisation is the future, embrace it.</li><li>Economic Models: Three key economic inspirations we take from existing models are Play2Earn, Create2Earn and Asset ownership. While most Metaverse plays focus on one of these aspects, we believe that there is a supply-demand driven network effect that is possible as these different economic models converge into one marketplace. It would be a marketplace that would be a self-reinforcing, virtuous cycle.</li><li>Immersive Experience: This is deliberately the last building block, as it is perhaps the most critical one. Gamers’ experience is paramount in ensuring growth and retention. Metaverse games are a Trillion dollar opportunity, and we are well suited to tap into it through the experiences we offer. We use Unreal Engine, and our designs and graphs are not just high quality, but also super cool.</li></ul>Apart from the above product and design features, our ‘go-to-market’ is differentiated too. We are not building our engine for 3 years to launch the platform after that. We started building in September 2021, and our first game is already released for Private Beta, and is planned for a public roll out in Q1 2022 as iron out any wrinkles.We have an aggressive product roadmap, that is laser focused on building a community of hardcore gamers through the year, essentially paving the way as game creators come on board in early 2023.If you are looking for an ‘unputdownable book’, or in this context an immersive Metaverse experience — Bullieverse has got it all nailed.With these strategic elements coming together, the only aspect that remains to be seen is our execution capability. We have shown glimpses of it so far. Our NFT sale in Aug 2021, and the Bear Hunt game launch (Beta) in Jan 2022, substantiates our execution capabilities, and provides the much needed momentum that we need in the journeys of our lifetime.They say momentum creates momentum — with a high quality team, well thought through strategy and market forces acting as tailwinds, the Bulls have begun the run.
