Since many forests have been decimated to make way for agricultural land, deforestation is the first adverse effect of agriculture. Additionally, the drying out of numerous minor rivers and ponds brought on by the use of river water for irrigation disturbs the natural ecosystem. Additionally, the majority of chemical pesticides and fertilizers affect neighboring water bodies as well as nearby land. In the end, it causes groundwater contamination and topsoil loss.
