In terms of basic logic, the essence of a contract is a delivery agreement: an agreement that provides for the buyer and seller to deliver at a specific price at a certain date in the future. But to this agreement is added the attribute of financial leverage, which is highly sought after by the market.The crypto market contracts first appeared in 2013, and the contract trading, which was born from traditional finance, began to develop locally, combining the original delivery agreement with the T&#43;0 two-way trading rules of the cryptocurrency market to derive a new agreement: the perpetual contract.As the name implies, perpetual contracts never expire and can be held for as long as the position does not get liquidated. In addition, the perpetual contract introduces the concept of a spot price index, and through the corresponding mechanism, the price of the perpetual contract returns to the spot index price, so unlike traditional futures, the price of the perpetual contract will not deviate too much from the spot price most of the time. This is a great improvement compared to traditional futures contracts.However, unlike trading in the secondary market, contract trading has a lot of rules and is very unfriendly to many beginner traders. So today we will give a detailed guide on how to trade perpetual contracts on SuperEx.Step 1: Navigate to the Futures trading panelFinding the location of the Contracts section is the first step to start trading contracts. You can carefully read the instructions given in the introction to better learn about the Futures panel.Step 2: Transfer fund to your Futures accountThere two seperate wallets for Spot trading and Futures trading. After you successfully register your SuperEx account and complete your first deposit, your deposited assets will be credited to your Spot account. Before trading in contracts, you need to make a fund settlement and transfer funds from the Spot account to the Futures account.The steps are as follows.1. Select Wallets in the menu bar to enter the wallet page2. Select “Cloud Wallet” in the top menu bar of the wallet page3. Select “Futures”4. Click “Transfer” to enter the asset transfer pageSelect the coin → Enter the amount → Click Confirm Transfer<img src="https://academy-public.coinmarketcap.com/srd-optimized-uploads/d73f401ab2dd4c5a83a2bfa19e27a3f7.png" />Step 3: Understand the contract trading termsMargin: The margin is to cover the losses caused by the loss of bankrupt users through positions to ensure that profitable users are not affected.Cross position: Margin is shared among all positions in the account, and the profit and loss of different positions can be offset against each other.Cross Position Margin: Full Position Margin is the use of all available balances in an account as margin to avoid liquidation. Any other position that has a profit can help to increase the margin on a losing position.Isolated Position: Each position is risk and reward independent, and the margin and profit and loss of each position are accounted for separately.Isolated Position Margin: The maximum loss of an isolated position is limited to the initial margin and additional margin used by the isolated position. If the position encounters forced liquidation, the user only loses the margin of the isolated position, and the available balance of the account will not be additionally called. By isolating the margin used by a position, users can limit losses on that position to the initial margin amount, helping you when your short-term speculative trading strategy fails.Split position: In split position mode, a certain amount of margin needs to be transferred to the designated account. If the margin rate is ≤ 0, the position will be forced to close, and the trader may lose all the margin in the account.Open Long: Buy the contract at the right price first, and then sell to earn the difference after the subsequent price increase.Open Short: Sell the contract at the right price first, and then buy to earn the difference after the subsequent price dropMaker: A pending order refers to an order placed by the party who quoted first, that is, first set an order to be placed out, limit its price and quantity, and wait for other users to make a deal with their order.Place a certain number of orders, and the orders placed in the market will be filled immediately.Mark price: It is the estimation of the reasonable price of the perpetual contract, the main purpose of the marked price is to calculate the unrealized profit and loss, and use it as a basis for the liquidation of positions.Profit&amp;Loss: P&amp;L can be divided into realized P&amp;L and unrealized P&amp;L. If you still hold a position, the P&amp;L of the relevant position is unrealized P&amp;L and will change with market changes. On the contrary, the profit&amp;loss after closing a position is realized profit&amp;loss, because the closing price is the contract market price, so the realized profit&amp;loss is not related to the marker price. Unrealized P&amp;L is calculated at the marker price and is usually the result of an unrealized loss that causes the position to be liquidated.Auto-Deleveraging (ADL): Auto-Deleveraging of positions is a method for the counterparty to liquidate positions. At this time, we can start to open a position. We enter the contract page and choose set the following three according to our judgment of the market.The following are the main components:1. First you need to know if you want to go “Long” or “Short”.2. Choose whether the position mode is “cross” or “isolated” or “split”.3. Select the leverage ratio, SuperEx breaks through the traditional 100 times capping mechanism and provides up to 150 times leverage.After making your selection, enter the price and amount, and click “Long” or “Short” to open a position.For beginners, make sure your position mode is set to split or isolated, this will prevent trades from entering your account into your balance if losses occur.Step 5: View contract trading informationAfter successfully placing an order, the positions of the executed order will be displayed in the “Positions” section and you can view your unrealized profit and loss, capital, amount, profit rate and liquidation price.Please note that PNL stands for “Profit and Loss” and therefore can be unrealized or realized.
