Not so long ago, we had a community meeting with Sergey Shashev, cofounder of <a href="https://broxus.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Broxus</a> and the Everscale DeFi Alliance. We collected the questions from our community and Sergey kindly answered all of them. Let’s dive into the recap of the meeting!Sergey Shashev: First of all, let me answer most of the questions.It’s not a surprise for everyone that the industry is currently in a downtrend, and the crypto winter has been with us for a while. However, if we look at the prospects, the current crypto winter is absolutely different from the previous ones, as the crypto industry is heavily correlated with macro-economics, traditional finance, and the whole world as never before. The world is experiencing a serious geopolitical crisis and, as a result, a financial and crypto one.In this situation, we have to find other solutions, and that’s why we’re focused on something different, which is B2B partnerships, private and corporate chains, as well as CBDCs. There will always be demand and funds in these areas.Luckily for us, we started this work one year ago. This is what allows us to continue development of the Everscale ecosystem and enter into new international business agreements. Currently, there are about 140 countries which are considering or testing CDBC pilots. That’s the main field where we see the use of Everscale technology.<blockquote>Could you tell us more about business development in Korea? What are the latest updates?</blockquote>We’ve got a very strong community and business partners for Everscale in Korea, including our partners working on private communications, particularly the <a href="https://qamon.io/en/#" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Qamon</a> email service. That’s also a good example of the Everscale network’s B2B use cases. As a private email service, Qamon can be used as a robust, private tool for corporate models with its own DNS and private and secure communicational tools.Korean corporations are working hard to implement and adapt blockchain technology, and their requirements are really high. We’re working in this direction to join the market.Regarding listings, unfortunately, the Korean market is still recovering from the Terra Luna crash, and it’s hard to tell when major listings and more partnerships with crypto exchanges will happen.<blockquote>Despite Evescale’s success in Asia, why aren’t we seeing new users on <a href="https://flatqube.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">FlatQube</a> or <a href="https://grandbazar.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">GrandBazar</a>?</blockquote>The reason is simple: it works out slowly and gradually, not in a single moment. We’ve got great partnerships with <a href="https://da5.com.ph/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DA5</a> in the Philippines, but we’re still newcomers in the region. The community is getting familiar with the Everscale network, and with each use case and partnership we will have more users and a bigger community.<blockquote>Broxus’s wallet is almost empty. Is this the only one, or there are others?</blockquote>Broxus has about 700 different wallets, so it’s clearly not an indicator. We are the biggest liquidity provider on FlatQube and <a href="https://dexada.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DEXADA</a>, and we have a big stake in our validator.We’ve made a lot of investments in EVER; we’ve bought about 30 million EVER tokens on the market with our own funds and are continuously accumulating more. Since the beginning of the crypto winter, Broxus has increased the overall amount of EVER by 25–30%.<blockquote>At the moment, all listings on crypto exchanges have stopped. Are there any plans to continue listings of EVER tokens?</blockquote>During the crypto winter, almost any listing will not bring any value — in these conditions it’s just burning tokens. We’re focusing now on use cases and B2B development. When the market situation is better, we will continue to work on listings.<blockquote>What about marketing in Asia?</blockquote>In the last three months, the overall number of people involved in the project multiplied by 20. Of course, at the beginning there were really small numbers, but we’re seeing constant growth. Although many people still haven’t bought any tokens or installed a wallet, they are doing research and reading about the technology and figuring out how it works.Before, there was no content in Asia, and now the pipeline is being managed and we’ve got a lot of content being produced for Indonesia, the Philippines, Korea, and Japan. Everscale hasn’t been represented in Singapore or Hong Kong yet, and now we are focused on meeting businesses, foundations, and investors.<blockquote>What are the prerequisites for launching the Everscale bridge with the Solana network? What are the future plans?</blockquote>The main incentive for creating the bridge with Solana is migrating projects from Solana to Everscale. Solana developers and users suffer from outages of the Solana network, and via <a href="https://octusbridge.io/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">OctusBridge</a> dApps can migrate to Everscale and save all token holders.<h2 id="header-0">Summary</h2><a href="https://blog.everscale.network/review-of-the-latest-proposals-on-everdao-3e8c6df8db97" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">The recent reforms on EverDAO</a>, coordination within the Everscale Strategic Committee, and Everscale Foundation networking outside of the ecosystem is all steadily bringing more users and adoption of the Everscale network.As one of Everscale’s key contributors, Broxus is concentrating on B2B, Central Banks and Government partnerships, implementing CBDCs, creating more use cases, and increasing Everscale’s central value proposition.
