<h3 id="bnb-chain-back-after-a-major-hack">BNB Chain back after a major hack</h3><p>Today, the BNB Chain operations were <a href="https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1578171072067031042?s&#61;20&amp;t&#61;49neLdzqXR_-mi1_NE52TQ" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">suspended</a> for several hours after a massive exploit on a BSC Token Hub bridge. It resulted in extra BNB. Fraudsters took $100 million off the chain, but <a href="https://twitter.com/SlowMist_Team/status/1578159110708940801" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">more than $570 million</a> worth of assets were hacked. For more details about how it went down, check out this thread:</p><p>The BNB Chain team <a href="https://twitter.com/bnbchain/status/1578249467362308097" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">announced</a> a hard-fork release so as not to let hackers act and ban BNB Beacon Chain and BNB Smart Chain from communicating. Now, <a href="https://twitter.com/BNBCHAIN/status/1578277281000136704?s&#61;20&amp;t&#61;OLOL8stDGiWSf2_5YumwTA" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">it’s operating</a>.</p><p>According to DeBank, the <a href="https://bscscan.com/address/0x489a8756c18c0b8b24ec2a2b9ff3d4d447f79bec" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hackers’ address</a> holds over $544 million worth of crypto. About 80% of it is in BNB Chain, so they can’t withdraw these funds.
