How you entered Crypto and how you started to work for CoinMarketCap?  </p><blockquote>Shilika Jain: Yes, Fosho!  I’m Shilika and I handle Partnerships and BD at Coinmarketcap. I’ve been in the crypto space for about 4 years now. Started as a crypto enthusiasts and went on to freelance with a bunch of projects and media publications in 2019.  A friend of mine introduced me to crypto as he was building a DeFi aggregator wallet. After that I collaborated with various marketing companies like Bloom360, Momentum, Rebellion and others on various fronts including project management, strategy &amp; PR.  I’ve also advised more than 40&#43; projects on various aspects including PR, content, marketing &amp; strategy!  While creating a lot of content on various social platforms, I got in touch with the then VP of Coinmarketcap and explored possibilities of working with Coinmarketcap. We stumbled upon each other on LinkedIn. Currently I’m working on the Partnerships/BD side - KOL facing for CMC&#39;s Project CMC-Community. What is your personal greatest achievement with CMC?  </p><blockquote>Shilika Jain: My personal achievement has been bringing about 50&#43; speakers for the CMC Capital Conference as I led the speaker outreach! It was an amazing experience! Also kickstarted our API Sponsorship program. Those have been a few of my achievements so far at CMC.  DONE  </blockquote><p>Paul Crypto Verse: Sounds good...  </p><p>Let&#39;s talk about CoinMarketCap and CMC-Community. Can you tell us more about CoinMarketCap and CMC-Community? Where did the idea came from to create an integrated social media?  </p><blockquote>Shilika Jain: Yes.  CoinMarketCap is a leading data aggregator application allowing users to track prices of their crypto assets seamlessly. Under the CoinMarketCap banner we also support the projects to grow their community by reaching an audience of 272.3M&#43; monthly visitors (May 2021 SimilarWeb data) through various campaigns.  We saw that users are scattered across various platforms like Twitter, Telegram, Youtube, Reddit and others trynna get access to right information and build communities. But these platforms have various issues including censorship, bots, banning users unnecessarily. That’s when the idea of a social platform rolled in.  CMC-Community pulls together the largest community of crypto users directly on CMC. It is the one-stop-shop for crypto projects to engage with their users. Crypto projects can post their updates on CMC-Community just like what they do on Twitter, they can also post long form articles - project announcements or token economics like what they do on medium. How does this feature works and what is the purpose for this feature? How does this feature benefit the users?  </p><blockquote>Shilika Jain: So basically, Academy is our content library. Users can hop onto the site and educate themselves with news and articles related to various projects and the larger crypto space on Academy. It&#39;s basically for anyone who wants to get started with crypto or level up their knowledge about the crypto space. What rewards will be there for collecting diamonds and How can we redeem our diamonds?  </p><blockquote>Shilika Jain: It&#39;s a section wherein users can collect diamonds for performing small tasks on a daily basis. These are redeemable for NFTs, vouchers, conference tickets and other rewards that are listed to on the platform which users can claim. You can redeem the rewards by just navigating to the rewards section by using your diamonds. The process is quite simple. What new features are there in CMC-Community?  </p><blockquote>Shilika Jain: Tbh, users have various issues on other platforms a they are not crypto native. With CMC Community, we aim to bring in more Web3 native features. We also want to be the focal communication point in the crypto space where users can share their thoughts and at the same time projects can share announcements in a seamless manner. A platform free of censorship &#43; bots &#43; web3 native.   In future, we plan to add features where users can initiate governance proposals on CMC-Community, users can also have real-time discussions on our discussion board just like what they do on Telegram or Discord. It will be a platform for projects to communicate with users about the latest updates and user directly sharing their grievances. It is a platforms where influencers or individuals can build like-minded communities and enhance their conversations. That&#39;s essentially where we are getting at! That&#39;s also one of the reasons why we hold 75% of the market-share in the crypto space. We have also been creating quality content to support the information that we share and have been tracking market movements very closely which has served us the confidence of our audience.
