<h2 id="header-0">According to a survey commissioned by the software, networks, and services business Ciena, employees and executives in Latam are willing to experiment with metaverse technologies alongside their conventional work.</h2><p>According to the report, which polled 15,000 business professionals from around the world, there is optimism over the adoption of these technologies.</p><h2 id="header-1">Office workers in Latin America find metaverse-based tools useful</h2><p>The increase in remote work is a result of more and more businesses changing their working requirements in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak. Latam office workers are especially receptive to incorporating these technologies at work, according to a recent study presented by Ciena, a network software company.</p><p>A virtual metaverse platform would be an option for approximately 60% of the 15,000 business executives polled in 15 different nations, including Colombia, Brazil, and Mexico. In a similar vein, more than 50% of respondents think that using virtual platforms rather than face-to-face interaction makes collaboration easier.</p><p>The justifications for this notion differ from nation to nation. The justification in Mexico is based on the idea that employing these technologies reduces the likelihood of interruptions. It is believed that these technologies help the economies of the businesses using them in Colombia and Brazil.</p><h2 id="header-2">Additional Results and Perceived Limitations</h2><p>Additionally, there is a rising awareness that working trends will alter in the not-too-distant future. 40% of respondents in Latin America think that in the next two years, traditional workplaces will start giving way to more virtual or immersive ones. This percentage is greater than what it would be elsewhere in the world.</p><p>The metaverse is also viewed as a tool with non-work-related uses. According to the poll, 63% of respondents in Colombia said they would use virtual learning and education platforms. 60% of Mexicans would use these platforms for socialising, and 69% of Brazilians would use them for online gaming.</p><p>The people polled are aware of these technologies&#39; drawbacks, namely their reliance on infrastructure and services. In Mexico and Brazil, more than 40% of respondents said that network reliability was a problem for this form of application. The general lack of knowledge about implementing and employing these tools in workplaces is another cause for concern.</p><p>The survey&#39;s findings are in line with another study that the Globe Economic Forum released in May, which discovered that Latin American nations value the metaverse more than the rest of the world.</p>
