<h2 id="header-0">Bitso, a Latam-focused cryptocurrency exchange, has launched an effort to allow Argentines to utilize cryptocurrencies for everyday transactions.</h2>The exchange is adding QR payments directly into its app. The application will be compatible with other platforms in Argentina that already accept this payment method.Bitso, one of Latam&#39;s largest exchanges with over 5 million users, is expanding its focus on payments in Argentina. The exchange has established one of the country&#39;s first interoperable QR payment systems. The system aims to attract more Argentines to utilize <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news-english/top-cryptocurrency-news-binance-mastercard-will-introduce-prepaid-cryptocurrency-cards-argentina-2" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cryptocurrency as payment</a>.Argentine exchange clients will be able to utilize their Argentine pesos, stablecoins, bitcoin, or ether balances to pay at any merchant that accepts QR code payments. Depending on the currency, Bitso will manage exchange rates to swap these <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/cryptocurrency" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cryptocurrencies</a> and provide Argentine pesos to the merchant.Bitso aims to expand this project to other nations, but Argentina was chosen as the first owing to its high degree of QR payment adoption. According to the company, 59% of Argentines utilized QR payments in the last year, compared to 34% in the rest of Latin America. These figures are likely to exceed 80% in Argentina next year.Argentina is currently dealing with the negative effects of the excessive inflation in its economy. In August, the country had a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of about 80%, one of the highest in the area. The CPI is expected to hit 100% in December, as per projections.Also, the devaluation of the national fiat currency as a result of political unrest has prompted Argentines to take refuge in <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency-news-english/two-year-ban-algorithmic-stablecoins-us-govt" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">stablecoins</a>. Bitso, on the other hand, wants Argentines to combine the savings benefit of cryptocurrency with its payment capabilities to simplify use and prevent manual exchange when paying.According to Santiago Alvarado, Bitso&#39;s senior vice president of products, this is an extremely essential product offering for Argentina. It protects users from negative economic conditions such as inflation and currency depreciation.
