Everscale works on the DAO principle. This means that community members can put forward a proposal for the blockchain’s development, and every EVER token holder can vote for or against it.But first a little recap. A little earlier, during the most recent AMA Extraordinary Session, the DeFi Alliance and EverX put forward an initiative to improve the network’s governance and increase its capitalization and token value through the following five fundamental points:1. Commitments to initial members and partners2. Vesting for Defi Alliance and EverX3. Core development4. Grants and partnerships5. Transition to zero net issuanceThe community enthusiastically embraced this initiative and voted in its favor! Now, more detailed proposals for some of these points have become available as part of the initiative.<h2 id="header-0">Everscale Defi Alliance &amp; EverX KPIs</h2>The first proposal concerns the terms of vesting for the Everscale Defi Alliance &amp; EverX.It’s no secret that the network’s development and promotion don’t take place by themselves — someone has to put in the work to make it happen. Several teams and major network contributors, including EverX and the Everscale Defi Alliance, have thus taken on task of implementing these initiatives at Everscale.EverX has a large development staff working for the good of the network, and as such, there are significant operating costs to maintain development and the entire infrastructure (nodes, validators, etc.).The Everscale DeFi Alliance, in turn, also includes a group of companies and teams that are focused on ensuring Everscale’s growth and everything that helps it — organizing new listings and maintaining current ones, marketing, and new partnerships.With this in mind, the decision was made to allocate 250,000,000 EVER to the Defi Alliance &amp; EverX from the core Giver to cover all operating expenses. Currently, the amount of funds given to each of them is 170,000,000 EVER.The proposal is to bind the vesting/unlocking of the remaining tokens to results that are more objective and clearer for everyone, notably the achievement of a certain rank on leading aggregator platforms such as CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko. There will thus be vesting for EverX and the DeFi Alliance when strict KPIs are– achieved — entering the top 100, and the last tranche for entering the top 10!You can read the details of this proposal and vote here: <a href="https://everdao.net/governance/proposals/87" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://everdao.net/governance/proposals/87</a><h2 id="header-1">Lever architecture and initial supply</h2>The next proposal is related to commitments to initial members and partners totaling about 50 million EVER. As an elegant solution, it was proposed to introduce a LEVER token of the TIP 3.1 standard, pegged to EVER. Doing things in this way would not potentially put further pressure on the sell side and would not interfere with depools and validators.If the community votes in favor of this, LEVER will be minted at a 1:1.2 ratio to EVER with a fixed lock-in for 2 years.All payments would be programmed in smart contracts, while the DeFi Alliance would prepare and collect all information about upcoming payments (with addresses) and provide a fully transparent report of the payments to the community.You can view the details of this proposal and vote here: <a href="https://everdao.net/governance/proposals/86" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://everdao.net/governance/proposals/86</a><h2 id="header-2">Transition to zero net issuance</h2>The third proposal concerns transition to a zero net issuance model. Everscale’s business model involves a large number of commercial transactions on the network, while validators are mostly subsidized by ecosystem token issuance, and this has led to high inflation.As a result, there has been a steady decline in the value of shares in the network for current investors and some concern for potential investors. This proposal aims to create a special fund from which validators will be subsidized without a new token emission and allocate 200,000,000 EVER for the purpose.
