<p>Speaking about “NFT”, it has been a buzz word for almost the past 2 years while all of us were spending time being locked-down at home. It means different things to different hodlers. Some see it as a way to financial freedom with fast financial investment return while others see it mainly as a collection that they have strong emotional attachment to. Whether you are looking for an investment or a collection, you need to know how to find NFT early, preferably before they are launched for minting in order to reap the most value out of it. Below are some suggestions and let’s dive into each of them!</p><h3 id="know-what-you-are-after">Know what you are after</h3><p>It’s very important to know what you want when you venture out to search for NFT to purchase. While the channels to search for new NFT will be similar, but the key metrics to look for could be vastly different. For example, for those who are looking for a NFT to collect, they should pay more attention to the qualitative information of the NFT project and vice versa for those who are looking for investment / profit taking in the short term. However, neither qualitative nor quantitative elements of a NFT project should be neglected by anyone in search of the next start NFT!</p><h3 id="have-you-started-on-twitter">Have you started on Twitter?</h3><p>If you are yet to have an account and start following projects, you should do it now! Twitter has been the must-go space for all NFT related individuals or projects. There are buyers, sellers, hodler, KOL, projects, and etc. On top of that, there are AMAs being done in twitter space where KOL and project share their insight and latest news verbally live. Paying close attention to the number of followers, number of tweets, and number of retweets of a particular NFT project reveals the potential of the project upon minting. All historical information of a project can be easily followed through too!</p><h3 id="discord-a-whole-new-community-space">Discord, a whole new community space</h3><p>Another space that you should watch out for is the discord space, it’s strange for a NFT project to stay active without a discord account. The participants in this space are similar to that of twitter but with more exclusivity. Not only that, each discord account has multiple channels that discuss different aspects of the NFT, so participants can join in topics that they are interested in, and also watch out for some secret channel where there are more perks for early / loyal joiners. Apart from the number of participants, the liveliness of the channels is a good demonstration of the project’s potential too!</p><h3 id="is-the-project-s-roadmap-aligned-to-yours">Is the project’s roadmap aligned to yours?</h3><p>Again, depending on whether you are looking for financial return or purely out of love to collect the NFT, the roadmap of a project provides clues to some of your questions. It could be a crystal ball that you can peek in to find answers for the future. Roadmap is a good gauge for investors to identify when to exit the NFT, ideally after a big boost of activity or launch of new features from the project, thus setting up the expected holding period. For NFT lovers who collect, the roadmap has key indications whether the project is moving towards the direction of your preference. It is also a good benchmark to see if the project is delivering as promised in a timely fashion.</p><h3 id="checkout-launchpad-for-new-projects">Checkout launchpad for new projects</h3><p>One benefit of checking out launchpad is to know exactly when a NFT project is going to launch. Compared to Twitter and Discord, launchpad provides a more concrete timeline. It is also a good place to ensure you do not miss out on any new projects that are about to go through the Initial NFT Offer (INO) in the near future. Each launchpad also has a checklist to vet out and only qualify strong NFT projects. Therefore, it&#39;s an added safety net when you scout for NFT projects in a reputable launchpad.</p><h3 id="leverage-a-tool-like-nansen-ai">Leverage a tool like Nansen.ai</h3><p>Nansen.ai is a good tool to identify the trending NFT across the NFT marketplaces. It aggregates buyer information and presents to users in a visually meaningful way. You can identify the most traded NFT or NFT that is held by a specific wallet, ideally a wallet that also has a good taste of NFT. In short, it&#39;s a good place to sense the market trend and see how it can help you to decide on the up and coming NFT projects that are on your watchlist. It&#39;s definitely a good view from a more macro perspective compared to Twitter and Discord.</p>
