The co-founder of Ethereum claims that payments made with cryptocurrencies give international trade, charitable giving, and even domestic transactions a &#34;huge boost.&#34;<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-blogs-english/how-vitalik-buterin-changed-the-blockchain-space" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum</a>, claims that compared to fiat currency, the advantages of cryptocurrencies for making payments are sometimes &#34;underrated.&#34; He cites the ease of making international payments and donating to charities as two important examples. On August 24, Buterin made the remarks in a Twitter thread, arguing that cryptocurrencies are &#34;better&#34; when it comes to international trade, charitable giving, and even domestic payments because of their convenience as well as their resilience to censorship.The use of cryptocurrencies for payments has spread around the world. In a July analysis titled &#34;Paying With Cryptocurrency,&#34; data platform PYMNTS discovered that 85% of businesses with yearly incomes above $1 billion reported using crypto payments to attract and retain new clients.Debit cards for cryptocurrencies are becoming more widely available, with Binance and Mastercard recently announcing a prepaid card for Argentinians. Many of these cards, like Wirex&#39;s, even give users crypto cash back rewards for using the card to make purchases. They also make it easier to use ATM withdrawals and spend a<a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/cryptocurrency" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> number of significant cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies</a>.As Vitalik noted, bitcoins are also incredibly helpful for charitable gifts and international money transfers. International payments have historically been slow to process and expensive when made using fiat money. One excellent illustration of its efficacy in this area is the conflict in Ukraine, where Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov tweeted on August 18 that the nonprofit activist group Aid For Ukraine alone had raised $54 million. Not everyone has, however, been as supportive of the use of cryptocurrencies as a form of payment.
