At a block height of 749,952, the network’s mining difficulty increased by 0.63% from 28.17 trillion to 28.35 trillion on Thursday morning.Finding a bitcoin (BTC) block is somewhat more difficult today than it was in the previous two weeks due to a 0.63% increase in the difficulty adjustment algorithm (DAA). Following the DAA’s two-week increase of 1.74% at a block height of 747,936, the increase is the second in a row.The two increases suggest that it is now 2.37% more difficult to locate a BTC block than it was before August 4, when the difficulty parameter was 27.69 trillion. After reaching an ATH on June 08, 2022, at block height 739,928, BTC’s hashrate has been declining in terms of exahash devoted to the network.At that time, the network hit a peak of 292.02 exahash per second (EH/s), and it is now hovering at 182.40 EH/s. Block 749,952, which modified the DAA this week, was uncovered by Foundry USA and it had 2,648 transactions and 0.1692 <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-currency/bitcoin-btc-prices-usd" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BTC</a> in fees on top of the 6.25 BTC block subsidy.During the last three days, Foundry has been the top mining pool, commanding 46.81 EH/s or 23.70% of the network’s hashrate. Foundry identified 100 BTC blocks out of 422 discovered in the previous three days. Following Foundry, Antpool is the second-largest mining pool currently, accounting for 34.17 EH/s or 17.3% of the network’s hashrate.Bitmain’s Antpool has discovered 73 of the 422 known blocks. There are now 11 known mining pools dedicating SHA256 hash to the BTC chain, with unknown or stealth miners accounting for 1.9% of the hash.Unknown hash detected eight blocks out of the 422 blocks discovered in 72 hours. Because of the increased difficulty and lower BTC fiat pricing, there are fewer bitcoin mining pools mining BTC this week than a few months ago.The most profitable bitcoin mining rig currently is Bitmain’s Antminer S19 XP, which has 140 terahash per second (TH/s) and earns an estimated $6.21 per day in bitcoin profit by paying $0.12 per kilowatt hour (kWh).Using the current difficulty of 28.35 trillion, today’s BTC exchange rates, and $0.12 per kWh in electricity bills, a Bitmain S19 Pro&#43; Hydro with 198 TH/s earns a projected $5.36 per day. Microbt’s Whatsminer M50S and M50 may earn an estimated $2.59 to $3.95 per day in BTC earnings.
