<p>The launch of Athos Finance would not be complete without its native token $ATH. As we move closer to the launch, we would like to take the opportunity to share more details about our native $ATH token. This article will provide a summary of token allocations as well as the utilities that come with $ATH tokens.</p><p>Without further ado… let’s dive in!</p><h2 id="header-0">Overview</h2><p>Token Ticker: $ATH</p><p>Total Supply: 100,000,000</p><p>Initial Circulating Supply: 2,200,000</p><h2 id="header-1">Token Allocation</h2><p><img src="https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/1600/1*dxF0HRYIdVILPLyKpH-Gfg.png" /></p><p><strong>Staking Rewards (40%)</strong></p><p>This allocation is reserved for incentivizing the community to stake $ATH and other assets to build $athUSD and become part of the debt pool. Staking rewards are released proportionally to users who hold debt on a weekly basis.There is no initial unlock at TGE. Tokens are vested linearly over 156 weeks (~3 years).</p><p><strong>Ecosystem (26%)</strong></p><p>This allocation is utilized for marketing and liquidity provision to ensure the continuous growth of the Athos Finance community.5% of this allocation unlocks at TGE. The remaining tokens are vested linearly over 182 weeks (~3.5 years).</p><p><strong>Partnerships (10%)</strong></p><p>This allocation is reserved as a strategic reserve for future partnerships, allowing us to strike important partnerships that can widen the reach of Athos Finance.5% of this allocation unlocks at TGE. The remaining tokens are vested linearly over 182 weeks (~3.5 years).</p><p><strong>Community Airdrop (10%)</strong></p><p>This allocation is used to reward supporters of Linear Finance and Chaotic Finance who collectively make both projects huge successes. The airdrop mechanism is skewed favorably towards active users of Linear and Chaotic. More details about the airdrop will be announced in the coming weeks.Airdrop claims are separated into tranches. While there is no initial unlock at TGE, users can make use of the locked tokens to access the Athos product suite, once the tokens are claimed. Tokens begin vesting from 53 weeks (~1 year) after the claim period of the tranche and then are vested linearly over 104 weeks (~2 years).</p><p><strong>Team (10%)</strong></p><p>This allocation is used to incentivize the founding team and future team members who contribute to Athos Finance and make it a success.There is no initial unlock at TGE. Tokens begin vesting from 53 weeks (~1 year) after TGE and then are vested linearly over 130 weeks (~2.5 years).</p><p><strong>Token Sale (4%)</strong></p><p>This allocation is reserved for the sale of $ATH tokens. Athos Finance recognizes the importance of an active and engaged community. The creation of synthetic assets will require a pledge ratio over 100%. Over-pledging is necessary to ensure the volatility of the pledged assets do not adversely affect the stability of the entire system. In the long run, the community-driven AthosDAO can choose to optimize the pledge ratio.</p><h3 id="facilitate-synthetic-asset-trading">Facilitate Synthetic Asset Trading</h3><p>By staking $ATH as collateral, users essentially become a part of the debt pool that traders can trade against. All stakers take on the risk of the debt pool and act as a pooled counter-party against all synthetic asset trades on Athos Finance. In return, stakers are rewarded with inflationary reward and pro-rata exchange fees generated on Athos Exchange on a weekly basis.</p><h3 id="participate-in-governance-decision">Participate in Governance Decision</h3><p>Our goal at Athos Finance has always been to operate in a decentralized manner, allow community members to shape the future of Athos Finance by driving the decision-making process. The implementation of AthosDAO means $ATH holders will be able to create proposals and vote to add new features or make changes to existing features on Athos Finance.</p><p>This sums up the token metrics and utilities of Athos Finance.
