<h2 id="header-0"><strong>Hackathons — What are they, and why do we need them?</strong></h2><p>First, let’s make it clear what hackathons are and why everyone is talking so much about them. Hackathons are basically “hack marathons” that gather a lot of developers, enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs in one place to solve particular challenges or just to create and develop some ideas along the way.</p><p>We can certainly say that math and computer science are forms of art, and in such a challenging and creative environment, masterpieces are born when groups of people or individuals collaborate and brainstorm under the mentorship of experienced developers.</p><p>Hackathons are not only for developers. They are a place for everyone who wants to be involved and try their hand at working in the blockchain industry. Obviously, developers are the most essential part of each project, but designers, project managers, or just enthusiasts are also welcome to join hackathons, as the final product consists of many different components, and it’s worth trying them to find a circle of like-minded people. Hackathon teams are always looking for passionate people who are ready to deliver ideas.</p><h2 id="header-1"><strong>Everscale and the Tezos DeFi Hackathon 2022</strong></h2><p>The Tezos DeFi Hackathon 2022 is an excellent example of combining human resources, mentorship, and creativity. During the Tezos DeFi Hackathon, many solutions were developed, such as a <a href="https://github.com/everscale-contest?q&#61;hackathon2022-tezos-Radiance-Team" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">bridge between Tezos and Everscale by the Radiance team</a> and another Tezos-Everscale bridge by the Everangers team, as well as a <a href="https://github.com/everscale-contest/hackathon2022-tezos-DEvergence" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DeBot for managing the Tezos wallet from Ever Surf</a> by the DEvergence team.</p><p>That’s not to mention the great number of Everscale DeFi Alliance grants that were allocated to the participants of the hackathon who came up with interesting ideas and kept building them on Everscale.</p><h2 id="header-2"><strong>What’s next? The Elysium Hackathon by Broxus</strong></h2><p>Despite a lot of panic on the market in recent days proving the volatile nature of the crypto industry, it has a super ability to recover quickly.
