With thanks to our user community and more than 6,000 responses, we are glad to announce the results of the 2020 Most Influential Poll!
As both the DeFi wave in summer 2020 and the institutional investments and interests towards the end of the year both had significant impact on the market, we surveyed our users and asked which event they thought had a larger impact on the cryptocurrency market — more responses indicated that the institutional investments and interests had a larger impact.

Based on our poll for most influential, Vitalik Buterin is the most influential person in cryptocurrency in 2020! With the development of Ethereum 2.0, the ETH price surge and Ethereum’s heavy involvement in the DeFi summer, Vitalik Buterin plays an important role in pushing, not only Ethereum, but the whole cryptocurrency space forward.
