Immunefi, a platform for bug bounty security, has teamed up with Trail of Bits, a cybersecurity business, to offer "The Rekt Test," a web3 security benchmark.
The test walks web3 projects through a series of inquiries meant to make sure they uphold a basic standard of security performance, comprising seven security assessments. The outcomes make it simpler for consumers and investors to assess a project's quality before getting involved.
The Rekt Test is in cooperation with the Solana Foundation, Fireblocks, and Ribbit Capital, and created by a team of web3 security specialists.
Immunefi referenced a research it just released that claimed that over $3.9 billion was lost in web3 last year as a result of hacks and frauds, and claimed that adopting security standards was essential given the significant amount of money in the ecosystem that gives attackers an incentive to target web3 initiatives.
