It's been launched by a man who became a Dogecoin millionaire after investing in the joke cryptocurrency back in 2014
A new augmented reality mobile game has launched that has spread one million DOGE around the world — waiting to be discovered.
Million Doge Disco is said to be similar to Pokemon GO. Every player is given their very own Disco Doge NFT, and this can be compared to a Tamagotchi that is interactive and can be cared for. Looking after this character could even make it more valuable.
In a surreal twist, gamers can dance on camera with their “Dogeagotchi” in the background, and they can use this character to collect DOGE and other forms of valuable rewards in a virtual world.
Gary Lachance, who became a Dogecoin millionaire after investing in the joke cryptocurrency back in 2014, said he wants to spark the sense of community that made the world of DOGE feel so special in its early days. He added:
“We will also debut a ‘Proof of Partying’ mechanism that incentivizes everyone, everywhere to dance with their Doges in order to receive Dogecoin donations from the community. We want to reinvigorate the culture of gifting that was a hallmark of the Dogecoin community in the early days of crypto.”
What’s Next for DOGE?
“The DOGE-ETH bridge is of course the other thing that’s coming along … Hopefully we can get that progressing and give us a lot more options in how you can use Dogecoin.”
