Who is Brian Armstrong?

Brian Armstrong is a software engineer, consultant, risk manager and crypto entrepreneur. Armstrong’s Bitcoin career started in 2012, when he became a co-founder and CEO of Coinbase. Armstrong has been at the center of comments in late 2020 from media outlets and stirred employees following his public statements encouraging an 'apolitical' stance in working culture at Coinbase.

In 2020:

- Coinbase has been working closely with US regulators in 2020 to push for sensible legislation
- Launch of Coinbase Earn allowed millions of users to learn about cryptocurrencies with rewards

Quote:

"Just like the U.S. benefited enormously by embracing the open internet, it should embrace the open crypto networks and allow U.S. citizens to move their own money freely in the emerging cryptoeconomy."
