Yummi Universe was founded by co-owners David and Shannon. David is a graphic design graduate from London, with over 8 years’ experience in creative design, directing and marketing. Before Yummi Universe, David started the ENACT Cardano Stakepool. Shannon is a design graduate from a well-known art-based university. Since her studies, Shannon has continued her creative journey, and had her work exhibited in prestigious venues such as Olympia London and the YSP. In 2021, Shannon founded Yummi Universe.

The project was born from the mascot character Naru from the Instagram page and e-commerce store Hungry Naru, to create a full-fledged monster collection franchise in the likes of Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon and Moshi Monsters.
