TRON Founder Justin Sun

Justin Sun is the founder of TRON, supporter of BitTorrent, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Grenada to the WTO, advocator, and practitioner of blockchain and the metaverse.

In September 2017, Justin established TRON, which is committed to accelerating internet decentralization through blockchain technology and DApps. In July 2018, TRON acquired BitTorrent, a pioneer of decentralized service with nearly 100 million monthly active users, and TRON gradually grew into a full-fledged blockchain ecosystem. TRON currently provides the largest circulating supply of stablecoin with over 80 million users and 2.9 billion transactions. On top of this, TRON has transitioned into a DAO featuring self-governance after realizing full decentralization in December 2021.

Keenly following the digitalization of artworks, Justin Sun bought masterpieces by Picasso, Giacometti, Andy Warhol, Beeple, Puk, and KAWS worth over $800 million merely in 2021, most of which he later donated to APENFT Foundation for the NFTization and digitalization of artworks. APENFT is backed by the underlying technology of top-notch blockchains Ethereum and TRON with support from the world's largest distributed storage system Bittorrent File System (BTFS) to deliver the mission of registering world-class artworks as NFTs on the blockchain. 

Justin Sun also takes an active interest in philanthropy. In 2019, he won a bid for Warren Buffett's charity lunch with $4.568 million that was later earmarked by the Glide Foundation for the homeless and helpless; in June 2021, he won the seats of New Shepard by Blue Origin with $28 million that was then donated to Future Foundation in support of aerospace adventures; he also launched the "Sea of Stars" charity campaign, where five crewmates will be chosen to fly with him at the end of 2022. 

As the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Grenada to the WTO, he will leverage his resources and advantages in digital technologies and the digital economy, which have accrued from his years of experience in the digital field, to fully commit himself to supporting the growth of Grenada and its neighboring economies.
