<p>Metaverse game The Sandbox (SAND) is bringing a couple of popular television series, Peaky Blinders and Black Mirror, to its platform. Content for Peaky Blinders will deliver experiences like fetch quests, exploration, fan gatherings, and more. Meanwhile, Black Mirror will enable the fans to explore the fictional dystopian universe on a deeper level.</p>

<p>Peaky Blinders debuted in September 2013 with the series garnering 55.6 Million views according to the British magazine Radio Times. The show stars Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, and more in the leads. The news confirming the sudden demise of Helen McCrory, the actress who portrayed Polly Gray in the series, affected the storyline for its final season.</p>
<p>Currently, the show holds an IMDb rating of 8.8 based on 615K user reviews. It is unlikely that fans will see another season of the series, however, there are rumors of a spin-off film potentially releasing in Spring 2024. Peaky Blinders has gotten into a steady stream of criticism given the stylish depiction of violence.</p>
<p>The other show is an anthology series with ratings similar to <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2023/11/08/meta-platforms-whistleblower-reveals-negligence-of-top-executives/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Peaky Blinders</a>. Black Mirror is an anthology series exploring different stories in each episode. The Guardian’s TV critic Lucy Mangan gave the series four stars, calling it a “fine collection of new episodes.”</p>
<p>An interesting fact the viewers on the internet have noticed about the series is that its predictions are coming true. In an episode dubbed “Fifteen Million Merits,” citizens are involved in playing games to earn digital currencies as rewards. Similar to cryptocurrencies in play-to-earn games like The Sandbox, Axie Infinity, Decentraland, and more today.</p>
<p>The Sandbox co-founder and COO Sebastian Borget said “Becoming a member of the Peaky Blinders in this way is something fans have never been able to experience before.” In context to Black Mirror, he added that “Black Mirror has become a cult classic in the pop culture landscape with its creative storylines and jaw-dropping endings.”</p>
<p>Metaverse remains an infant market. Nevertheless, it has managed to grasp the attention of some leading industry players including Gucci, Samsung, Adidas, and more.</p>
