If someone tries to use it again, the system will catch it while checking transactions. Once a UTXO is put in the blockchain, it stays the same and shows it&#39;s been used. Then, a new UTXO is made for the new money that goes out.Examples of UTXO TransactionsLet&#39;s say Mark has 1.5 bitcoins. But it&#39;s not one coin, it&#39;s split into two UTXOs: one with 1 bitcoin and the other with 0.5 bitcoin. If Mark wants to send 0.8 bitcoin to Ron, he uses the 1 bitcoin UTXO as input. A new UTXO with 0.8 bitcoin goes to Ron, and Mark&#39;s end gets 0.2 bitcoin. If we ignore fees for simplicity, Mark&#39;s new UTXO will be a bit less than 0.2 bitcoin.Another case is if Mark wants to send 1.2 bitcoins to Ron. He needs both UTXOs: 1 bitcoin and 0.5 bitcoin.
