The Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, at his recent press conference, said that the officials are considering a potential rate cut in September. However, he emphasized that any decision would be based on future economic indicators, not political factors. Powell reassured that the Fed remains apolitical, focusing solely on economic stability. 
Meanwhile, Powell highlighted the central bank’s commitment to neutrality, stating, “We never use our tools to support or oppose a political party, a politician, or any political outcome.” He clarified that the Fed’s policies are independent of the upcoming presidential election, underscoring the nonpolitical nature of their economic forecasts. 
In addition, the Federal Reserve chair mentioned that this would be his fourth presidential election while serving at the Fed, reinforcing the institution’s long-standing nonpartisan stance. Notably, according to CME FedWatch Tool, there is an 88% odds of the <a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/interest-rates/cme-fedwatch-tool.html" target="_blank">Fed</a> announcing a 25 bps rate cut in September.
