<ul>
<li>According to SwissBlock data, <strong>spot traded volume decreased by nearly 70% in April</strong> (MoM).</li>
<li>This has been a trend that CryptoSlate has been monitoring for some time, and the <a href="https://cryptoslate.com/insights/bitcoins-steady-performance-attributed-to-low-liquidity-and-minimal-spot-volume/">spot-to-futures</a> ratio has dropped considerably, according to the Block.</li>
<li>Even though the futures side has also seen demand drop, we seem to be in this regime of a spot-to-futures ratio of 0.2.</li>
<li>Coupled with an <a href="https://cryptoslate.com/insights/bitcoin-liquidity-situation-worsening-volatility-expected-to-be-enhanced/">illiquid market</a>, this can make the market even more irrational with price action.</li>
