<h2 id="header-0">The ECB president admitted that “there will be control” in regard to a digital euro. She said this in a meeting with a fake Zelensky.</h2><p>Lagarde said in the meeting that the decision on the new Euro CBDC will be taken in October 2023. It later turned out that the person claiming to be the Ukrainian president was in fact not Volodymyr Zelensky.</p><p>Lagarde said that moving towards a CBDC is necessary to stop being dependent on the Chinese or Russian currency or private companies like Facebook and Google.</p><h3 id="cbdc-will-control-transactions">CBDC will control transactions</h3><p>When the Zelensky impersonator said that Europeans do not like to be controlled, Lagarde said that there will be control but it could be limited to transactions above €300 or €400 euros.</p><p>She then continued by saying that a zero-control policy for those &#34;small&#34; transactions is dangerous as the attacks in France in 2015 were entirely financed by small transactions via credit cards, which went unnoticed.</p><blockquote>“We are considering whether for very small amounts, anything that is around 300, 400 euros, we could have a mechanism where there is zero control. Rowling , Prince Harry, Kamala Harris, and even former US president George W. Bush.
