In this week’s update, we will provide you with an overview of our intended market positioning as well as some insight into the vision of the Cherish project. Over the past number of years as social media has become a much more integral part of our daily lives, we have also seen the platforms providing these services become progressively more removed from their user base.Cherish aims to break away from this trend by offering a unique, supportive and untethered space for creators, where they can showcase and monetize their work, connect with their audience and collaborate with other artists in a secure and free environment. Crucially, everything from our decentralization and versatile feature set to our commitment to transparency and fairness is driven from the bottom up, not the other way around.Unlike platforms that often prioritize the interests of big business, marketers and advertisers, Cherish is committed to prioritizing the needs and desires of it’s creative community, first and foremost. This is particularly appealing for the many Creators who have struggled to gain traction on mainstream platforms or who feel frustrated by the lack of control and stability they offer.By ensuring that the best interests of our Creators are kept at the center of everything we do, Cherish is set to prove that the current trajectories of mainstream social media platforms are not only unsustainable and harmful, but that a better and brighter future is within our grasp.<h2 id="header-1">Creator-Driven</h2>From the beginning, the Cherish team have endeavored to build and nurture a strong, active and involved community base. When we first started, rather than presenting our vision and plans for how social media could be improved to our target audience, we instead reached out to them, gathering their problems, ideas and experiences to serve as a foundation to build upon.This Creator-Driven approach has been carried forward since, and can still be seen in our Email and Medium Updates, our Weekly AMA’s where community members can freely interact with the team, and most importantly in our Creator Outreach initiative.Over the past few months, Cherish team members and ambassadors, some of them being creators themselves, have made contact with a wide range of artists from all over the world, building up a grassroots community while also spreading the word about Cherish and forging strong partnerships that will serve us well when the platform goes live. Their input, feedback and cooperation has thus far and will continue to be an invaluable asset to the Cherish project.<h2 id="header-2">Cutting-edge Innovation</h2>In terms of our positioning in the market, Cherish is determined to place itself firmly at the cutting edge of social media innovation.
