<p>Since 2021, the crypto market has been waiting for another explosive <a href="https://coinpedia.org/news/altcoin-season-to-hit-in-q3-korean-crypto-survey-points-to-rally/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Altcoin season</a>, where prices surged by 40% to 70%. Well, according to popular analyst Michael van de Poppe, the green lights are finally flashing for altcoins.</p><p>With global liquidity on the rise and a shift away from gold, things are looking promising. The table might just be turning, and a new rally could be right around the corner.&nbsp;</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-more-money-is-flowing-into-the-markets">More Money Is Flowing Into the Markets</h2><p>Over the past few quarters, altcoins have struggled badly, leaving many investors disappointed. Van de Poppe believes this could fuel a strong rally across crypto markets higher over the next several months.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-gold-surge-cooling-off">Gold Surge Cooling Off</h2><p>Another important signal comes from the gold market. Gold has massively outperformed other assets by 20% since 2022, as investors rushed towards safety during uncertain times. But now, gold prices seem to be peaking.</p><p>Van de Poppe believes that as <a href="https://coinpedia.org/news/xrp-set-for-1000-rally-golds-drop-could-trigger-massive-xrp-rally/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">gold slows down</a>, investors will slowly move back into riskier assets like altcoins. Historically, whenever gold took a breather, crypto markets saw strong recoveries, and this time could be no different.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-chinese-currency-shows-a-key-turning-point">Chinese Currency Shows a Key Turning Point</h2><p>Interestingly, van de Poppe also pointed to the Chinese Renminbi’s (CNH) performance against the U.S. Dollar (USD). In past cycles, whenever CNH/USD bottomed out, altcoins like ETH started rising fast.</p><p>The same thing happened in the summer of 2019 — after CNH/USD hit a low, altcoins went on a strong two-year rally.</p><p>Now, the CNH chart has shown another deep drop, which could mean that altcoins are getting ready for a new rally. This pattern from the past makes the chances of a new altcoin bull run even stronger.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-institutions-are-changing-the-game">Institutions Are Changing the Game</h2><p>Finally, van de Poppe says that big institutions are now shaping the crypto market. Instead of just following the old 4-year cycles, investors now have to watch global money flows and economic events.</p><p>After the longest bear market in altcoin history, things are finally starting to look better. The next 12 to 18 months could be very exciting for altcoins.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-sign-of-shifting-interest-nbsp">Sign oF Shifting Interest&nbsp;</h2><p>Recently, Coinpedia News reported a change in crypto market focus, with more attention shifting to altcoins. A <a href="https://coinpedia.org/news/altcoin-season-to-hit-in-q3-korean-crypto-survey-points-to-rally/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">survey of 2,000</a> crypto investors in Korea by CoinNess and Cratos found that 33% expect Bitcoin prices to rise this week, while 35.7% think they will stay the same.&nbsp;</p><p>Around 31% predict a dip in Bitcoin prices. This shift shows growing interest in altcoins.</p>
