Laine, a validator for Solana, acknowledged the issue, stating, “Solana Mainnet-Beta is experiencing a performance degradation, block progression is currently halted, core engineers &amp; validators are actively investigating.” The last transaction before the halt 
Solscan andOKLink block explorers corroborated the suspicion of network downtime, with data showing that blocks were last processed at 09:52 UTC. Solana’s system status page also reflected the outage, further confirming the disruption. 
Following the news of the outage, the value of SOL tokens experienced a slight dip, falling over 4% to $94. This decline in <a href="https://news.todayq.com/avax-sol-and-top-tokens-experience-record-transaction-volume/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">SOL token</a> value was reflective of the uncertainty surrounding the network’s stability. The Solana network’s performance directly influences investor sentiment, impacting the market value of SOL tokens.
This halt in Solana’s network activity is reminiscent of a similar incident almost a year ago in April 2023 when the network experienced nearly two days of downtime. Back on April 30th, 2022, Solana’s Mainnet Beta cluster faced a 7-hour outage due to stalled consensus. SOL market condition
