<p>The highly anticipated 2023 <a href="https://www.jamb.gov.ng/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) </a>result is finally here, and if you have written the examination, you might be wondering how to check your scores. With so much buzz and excitement surrounding the exam, focusing on getting your score checked and confirmed is crucial to help you plan your next step. </p>



<p>Good news for candidates who participated in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) &#8211; the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced two convenient ways to check your results online. While these methods have been available for a few years, it&#8217;s worth reminding everyone of the steps in accessing your UTME results using this opportunity.</p>



<p>In this article, we have detailed the different steps to check your result so you can be informed and at ease. Whether you prefer the convenience of SMS or the flexibility of online access, we&#8217;ve got you covered.</p>

<h4 id="check-your-utme-result-via-sms">Check your UTME result via SMS</h4>



<p>To check your UTME results using the new SMS method introduced by JAMB, you&#8217;ll need a device &#8211; any phone will do, as long as you&#8217;re using the sim card you used to register for JAMB. Make sure you have at least 50 naira of credit on your account. Once you&#8217;ve taken care of those prerequisites, simply send either &#8220;UTME RESULT&#8221; or &#8220;UTMERESULT&#8221; to either 55019 or 66019 via SMS.</p>



<p>Different messages that you will see after you have sent the SMS.</p>



<ul><li>Using an unregistered phone number, you will get a message saying, &#8220;This phone number was not used for registration. </li><li>If your result is available, the message will say, &#8220;Dear Mr/Miss XYZ, your result is as follows&#8230;</li><li>If your results have been withheld, the next message will be &#8220;Result Withheld&#8221; or &#8220;Result withheld pending the upload of clarification required from you. </li><li>Absent candidates should not bother checking because the message would read &#8220;Candidate Absent&#8221;.</li><li>For candidates who gained unauthorized access, the message on the screen will be <em>&#8220;invalid Entrance into the Hall. </em></li></ul>



<p>While you can easily check your result via this SMS option, especially as it is the safest and most accessible and you don&#8217;t need internet, it is important to know that you cannot print it out and would need to access the result online via the JAMB platform.  </p>

<h4 id="check-your-utme-result-online">Check your UTME result online</h4>



<p>To access your UTME result online, visit the JAMB result-checking portal at <a href="https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Efacility" target="_blank" rel="noopener">https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Efacility</a>. Then, log in to your JAMB profile using your email address and password. </p>

<p>Once you have successfully logged in, on the dashboard, print on click result slip. It will request you input your registration number and pick the year you wrote the jamb. </p>

<p>Once you have selected that, click on &#8220;Print Result&#8221;, and it downloads automatically as a PDF file and saves directly to your phone or laptop.  </p>

<p><em>NOTE: You should have a login detail as long as you have registered and written the exam. If you created your account in a cybercafe and do not have your login details, go back there to check your results.</em></p>
