<p>Development in the Eversale network is a very active process, so we have decided to publish regular articles on its progress. So, what are the key results and main updates in the development process since the last release Let’s take a deep dive into it!</p><h2 id="header-0"><a href="https://blog.everscale.network/blockchain/smft-the-everscale-consensus-protocol" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Soft Majority Fault Tolerance</a> (SMFT)</h2><p>SMFT<strong> </strong>is an original Everscale innovation that raises the bar to 50% fault tolerance (compared to the 33% of BFT consensus), which is the maximum security level by design in decentralized systems.</p><p><strong>Current status:</strong></p><ul><li>The network is up using 20 servers</li><li>With a constant, small load, the network drops intermittently</li><li>The issue of the election process is being resolved</li></ul><p><strong>Short-term plans:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintaining a constant workload for testing purposes</li><li>Tests and fixes</li><li>Development of arbitration (underway)</li><li>Deployment for public tests</li></ul><h2 id="header-1">Reliable External Message Protocol (REMP)</h2><p>One more feature that the Everscale team and the whole community are super excited about along with SMFT is <strong><a href="https://blog.everscale.network/blockchain/everscales-remp-fair-technology-for-a-fair-network" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">REMP</a></strong>. In a nutshell, REMP makes it possible to get a sub-second response within the blockchain and provide the same performance and UX as regular SQL databases or apps, but on the blockchain.</p><p><strong>Current status:</strong></p><ul><li>REMP is being merged with the RFLD network</li><li>Works well at 500 tps</li><li>Load testing</li></ul><p><strong>Short-term plans:</strong></p><ul><li>Merging REMP with temp_rc</li><li>Starting public tests</li><li>High load testing of REMP</li></ul><h2 id="header-2">Everscale node development</h2><p>Another very important area where the resources of the core developers are focused is the Everscale node. The current update brings some improvements that will help developers building on Everscale to interact with smart contracts more efficiently and ease the coding routine.</p><p><strong>Current status:</strong></p><ul><li>New block version: 35 (optimizations and minor fixes)</li><li>REMP prep and testing</li></ul><p><strong>Short-term plans:</strong></p><ul><li>Deploying the current version</li><li>Work on sending bounce messages in the action phase</li><li>Сlearance of old PR and ISSUE git due to rebranding</li><li>Decreasing the network’s gas fees</li></ul><h2 id="header-3">Summary</h2><p>The previous progress report is available <a href="https://blog.everscale.network/blockchain/everscales-core-development-strategy-current-state-as-of-feb-2023" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">here</a>.
