According to officials, the two were part of a complex network using cryptocurrencies to evade sanctions and launder money worldwide.</p>   
<p>The Department of Justice (DOJ) stated that these individuals used the anonymity of cryptocurrencies to move large sums of illegal funds without detection. To stop the flow of illicit crypto transactions, U.S. law enforcement agencies have also seized several websites linked to three crypto exchanges that were involved in these unlawful activities.&nbsp;</p>
