Google has partnered with the Greek Ministry of Interior to create an artificial intelligence (AI) training program for government employees. The scheme hopes to modernize public services and increase productivity through technological advancements.

The “AI for All”&nbsp; program commenced with 500 civil servants, focusing on practical AI applications to improve problem-solving and increase efficiency. The initiative is part of Google’s AI Skilling program, which was announced at the Delphi Economic Forum and will cover all public services by September.

The AI training sessions are designed to offer hands-on experience and cover different artificial intelligence applications like decision-making, leadership, and operational efficiency. These workshops are intended to give civil workers the ability to simplify bureaucratic processes and enhance service delivery. Workers are expected to deal with complicated duties faster and provide improved services for citizens by incorporating AI into their work systems.
To ensure that government officials can use what they have learned immediately, the training sessions are designed around real-world applications of artificial intelligence. Subjects covered in these courses revolve around using AI for data analysis, automation of repetitive jobs and enhancing decision-making. Public officers who gain such competencies can save a lot of time and resources on administrative duties thus creating room for more concentration on strategic projects and citizen services delivery.

Improving the ability of public sector workers to solve problems is a central aim of this training. The long-term objective is to develop a government workforce that is not just efficient and effective but also sensitive to citizen demands. In adopting AI as well as digital technology, Greece is actively moving towards establishing a more contemporary and competent public administration.
