Companies wishing to provide services for exchanging and storing cryptocurrencies and other virtual assets must meet stricter requirements and standards.Today, Lithuania offers two types of licenses for cryptocurrency companies, allowing them to operate legally in the industry and provide various services to their clients:· The cryptocurrency wallet license gives companies the right to act as custodians of their clients&#39; virtual assets. Companies can also securely store cryptocurrencies on behalf of users and provide them with access to these assets, facilitate transfers of virtual assets, and offer clients encrypted keys to protect their crypto assets.· The virtual asset exchange license allows companies to exchange virtual assets for fiat currencies (real money) and other virtual currencies. Licensed companies can offer their clients the opportunity to buy and sell cryptocurrencies for traditional currencies such as euros or US dollars. Additionally, they can provide services for exchanging one cryptocurrency for another.
