Despite the persisting bullish narratives around Spot Ethereum ETFs, Ether futures do not reflect the same sentiment.

In healthy market conditions, this basis rate should trade 5% to 10% higher than the regular spot markets to account for the extended settlement period. 
While Ethereum futures do not show any more excitement than the regular spot trades, the basis rate is also on par with Bitcoin (BTC), which stands at 11%, indicating no excessive bullishness among Ethereum (ETH) traders. 
Some market analysts argue that this leaves room for a surprise rally on Ethereum (ETH) once Spot Ethereum ETFs go live.
